The Acolyte is the most Prequel-like show Disney's done. Visually flashy with great sequences, with a completely nonsensical plot.

@EvanKelmpIRL It’s cartoonish. It deviates from the source material but that was expected. And wouldn’t be a problem if it were good. But it doesn’t treat the source material with the respect it deserves. Feels like it’s based off of YA fantasy and not something like Tolkien.

@Sportsball2962 @BrettKollmann He falls more than his peers on non-fouls too. And here’s what you get when you put it all together, at least for this playoff run. I think it’s a fair criticism brother

English

@add_a_shack @BrettKollmann But he falls at an extremely comparable rate to his peers on non foul calls, it really bothers you that much that he has to get up off of the ground more than others when getting fouled? What a weird thing to hyper fixate on

@coua99 @Sportsball2962 @BrettKollmann He also falls more than anyone else does either even on non-calls, so it’s not hyper-fixating on an outlier, it’s just observing what’s there
English

@Sportsball2962 @add_a_shack @BrettKollmann The fact that he’s falling 50% of the time he’s fouled definitely says something. Considering the two things as completely uncorrelated is disingenuous

Hobbiton was intentionally built nearly a year before filming began so it would feel like a real, lived-in village rather than a movie set.
Real vegetable gardens were planted, fences were weathered naturally, and weeds were allowed to grow through the pathways. The production even used sheep to keep the grass trimmed to the perfect length.
Peter Jackson wanted audiences to feel like hobbits had genuinely lived there for generations, and it worked.

OK I did it. I tracked over 1,000 shots for SGA, Brunson, Harden, Spida and Wemby in the playoffs. Here's how often they fell: sports.yahoo.com/nba/article/fl…
House of Lowlights@HouseLowlights
Shai flopped on every single shot attempt.

@Sportsball2962 @BrettKollmann You are correct about that, but it’s still way more than anyone else. It’s gotta stop man
English

@BrettKollmann You’re not even interpreting the data correctly🤣 they aren’t called fouls 50% of the time, he is falling 50% of the time on CALLED FOULS. For a guy that has a platform partially based on the use of data that’s pretty embarrassing. Again , do you care if a WR falls on called DPI?

I've never hated a single Sports Team more than the Thunder. This is just disgraceful and embarrassing to the sport and the NBA should do something about it.
I've personally stopped watching the playoffs unless they lose.

OK I know I tweet about Hurts a lot but I find it all very fascinating and want to share this thought:
I really think this whole situation is quite clear.
In 2024,the Eagles knew that their scheme (Spread/HS Offense Style) wasn't sustainable for long term NFL success and they needed to discover if Hurts could handle more. 2024 offseason all we heard about was going more pro-style and Hurts being "Dak Prescott" in Moore's offense.
Very early in 2024 while Hurts was still trying to get comfortable, he struggled and they also had some bad injury luck but things were clearly not working. They were able to pivot back to their old style thanks to an elite run game and defense, again asking much less of Hurts.
They bought back into that play style for 2025 after a SB and with Moore gone, but without an elite run game or quite as good a defense, we are brought back to stage 1.
Now arming Hurts with a Shanny style coach, New, MOF oriented weapons, 12 Personell, etc etc... This is a HUGE year for Hurts to show that he can ultimately handle the Pro Style/Shanahan/Modern Meta approach.
I'm going in with an open mind but the narrative seems quite clear and I'm excited to see how this goes.
Thanks for listening to my Ted talk 😊 🏈
