@NolteNC They killed the trilogy early in TFS when a complete newbie to the force in Rey defeats Kylo in combat. I get you want to show she’s super powerful but it would be like 10yr old Mohammed Ali beating the 30yr old world champion in boxing.

Last night's movie: 'Star Wars: The Return of Skywalker' Grade: D Hadn't seen this since it came out, and for the first 30 minutes or so, I was chastising myself for hating it. Those 30 minutes are fun. Rey, Poe Finn, C3PO out on adventures, bantering, chemistry... Then. Rey used the Force to heal the big snake. What. The Hell. Then it became Rey's movie and she's boring and the DumbCom between her and Kylo as they use the Force to Zoom, kill me now. Barely there, Leia. There are no stakes because everyone comes back to life one way or another. Boring Rey choosing to "identify" as a Skywalker. The whole Emperor thing... I blame Rian Johnson for killing Snoke. Retard. Galloping across starships. Relegating Lando to hitting the gas and yelling yippee. Homely lesbians. At least they sidelined Rose Tico. Oh, on this whole giant planet, we just happened to crash in the exact spot where you can hold the knife-map up to your eyes and have it find the thing. Of the three sequels, as much as I hated its hostility towards me, The Last Jedi felt like a movie. TFA and TROS are amusement rides. But they all suck. Rey is a dreadful protagonist. No one can relate to little Miss Prissy-Perfect. She's the same character at the end of the trilogy as at the beginning. Compare that to how much Luke Skywalker grew during the original trilogy.

@Makelevi Geography of the World Cup plays a factor. You need to acclimate to where most games will be played. Only 2 nations with base camps in Canada are only two teams playing multiple group stage games here.

Toronto not being able to offer a base camp is wild work. While we enjoy our rise in global football stature, there’s still plenty to do at here at home.

CFL has a new TV deal. It's partnering with DAZN. 60 regular season games on TSN. 21 regular season games on DAZN. Anybody out there know how to get DAZN (which I think I had once years ago for boxing.) Is this good or bad for the league?

@Corey__Brady The issue is that many of us felt he wasn't the right choice to begin with. He doesn't sound like he has a handle on things. His interviews are weak. He praises the team's resilience and performance after really bad performances. He went 10 games in a row at home and got 2 wins.

@EvanKelmpIRL It’s cartoonish. It deviates from the source material but that was expected. And wouldn’t be a problem if it were good. But it doesn’t treat the source material with the respect it deserves. Feels like it’s based off of YA fantasy and not something like Tolkien.

If city bylaws had required a larger % of units to 2-3BR units (like say 50%) we would be way better off than we are now. But here we are. A massive % of available housing in the city isn’t family friendly

@kidwunderMV @BudrinoPolitics Your choice, you can get a 1000-1500 sq ft condo downtown, or you can live in traffic. You can’t have both, we’re in a competitive city. New Yorkers come here and are amazed at how big and cheap downtown apartments are. Everything is relative.

@Lordoftheringsu He had already killed Saruman and Wormtongue in the movies so he definitely wasn’t going to add the Scouring. In a film it’s way harder to add that type of chapter to the end after the heroes just saved the world. The theatre length film was steady over 3 hours.

The Return of the King – Homeward Bound scene is actually quite different in the book. Toronto was very stupid to build the rogers stadium knowing very well the seasons change like crazy here. Even in the summer there's still a high percentage of rainy days.
