You are not a smart businessman. You bought an item for 2k and you sold for 2,500. You sold at a ridiculous giveaway price. Secondly, because you have stock, you closed your eyes to market trend. Smart business people keep themselves updated with what happens in the market in relation to price.

I imported a commodity from china at a price of 2000 Naira per one(1) 500pcs total of 1m Naira. Then I sold for 2500 Naira per one (1) 500pcs all sold out. Total sales of 1,250,000 Naira Profit =250,000 Naira Then when I ran out of stock, I went back to import the same goods and the price is no longer 2000 naira per 1 but the 2500 Naira I sold it for. Am I profitable in this business or I am at loss?

@web3queen__ @Benedictshawn What happened to you is just clear that she's not trying to scam you. She likely doesn't know how to input ₦5100. I've worked as an agent before and I can tell you, while recruiting, many of the candidates don't know how to write down figures.

Please, if you’re doing a POS withdrawal, always cross-check the amount the cashier inputs before entering your PIN. I wanted to withdraw 5k, and I told the POS cashier to add her charges, making it ₦5,100. When she handed me the machine to enter my PIN, I noticed it was showing ₦500,100. I immediately told her, “It’s 5k I want to withdraw o,” and she replied, “Yes na, it’s 5k,” while giving me attitude. I was like, “Why did you input 500k instead of 5,100?” She started arguing with me, insisting it was 5k, then collected the machine to “correct” it. Ladies and gentlemen, when she handed it back to me the second time, thinking she had fixed it, this woman had changed it to ₦5 million instead 😭 Omo, I nearly lost it. I said, “Guy, what is going on? Please give me my card, I’m not doing again.” The guy beside her started begging me to calm down, saying she would correct it properly this time, which she eventually did. Imagine if I didn’t check the amount she entered. Worst part is, the phone I receive debit alerts on was at home because I don’t usually go out with it. That’s how I would have gotten home and started seeing debit alerts of ₦500k 😭

Had a lecturer who dropped out of uni cause she got pregnant, she had 2 sons and spent a decade at home being a SAHM She went back to uni at 30 there about, got her degree, got her masters and then won a scholarship to the US for her doctorate After she graduated in the US she got a teaching job and stayed there for a while, she also got her sons to go there to study and her husband to join her But the husband didn't like living in the US so they both came back and she's now teaching at the University of Nairobi So no it's never too late to do anything as long as you're alive

By treating them as people, not projects. Respecting kids doesn’t mean no boundaries or no correction. It means you don’t talk down to them, ignore their feelings, or use fear as your main tool. You explain expectations in a way they can understand, you listen when they speak, and you take their emotions seriously even when you still say no. You can be firm and still be respectful.

@ona_nky It’s called authoritative parenting 😭 not strict, just consistent, present, and clear with boundaries. Kids cooperate when they feel respected.

The kids who are raised with fear learn how to avoid punishment. Kids who are raised with respect learn self-discipline. Some parents don't need to shout, threaten, or control every move because they are present, consistent, and set clear boundaries. Their children behave not because they are terrified, but because they understand accountability and mutual respect.

A woman on my flight yesterday switched seats with her husband because their toddler wouldn’t stop crying. The second she sat down alone, she closed her eyes for maybe 30 seconds. Just resting. Not sleeping. When the husband walked past with the kid later, he laughed and said loudly, “Must be nice to finally get a break from doing nothing.” A few people chuckled. She laughed too. But something about it felt off because for the entire flight she had been: holding the baby, packing snacks, cleaning spills, walking him down the aisle, missing her own meal trying to calm him down… while the husband watched a movie with headphones on. And honestly I think that’s why so many women are exhausted. Not because they’re doing everything alone. But because they’re doing everything while someone else calls it “nothing.”
