There is an urgent medical information I want to pass across. This will save your life, pls come close. If you ever see rotten tomatoes that looks like these pictures I posted, or if you ever see onions with black spots on them or you see corn with mould on it, PLEASE RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. Why do I say this? All these food items are contaminated with a poisonous fungus called AFLATOXINS. Aflatoxins are notorious for increasing the risk of liver cancer. When you eat food that has this type of tomatoes, or you eat food cooked with this kind of onions or you eat this type of corn you are at risk of developing liver cancer. Only eat fresh tomatoes, fresh onions and fresh corn. Avoid rotten tomatoes, blackened onions or corn with mould (even if they are cheaper to buy). This is not a threat or a joke. This is a real life serious medical issue. Kindly share this information.

facts. this is why we all must invest in the biggest real estate ever, heavenly mansions. "In my father's house, are many mansions..." it will be so beautiful to be in a place richer than Monaco, better than Abu Dhabi, more serene than Japan. Saying "Holy, Holy is the Lord"... Being Apostles of old. "Good morrow Apostle Peter, how were you feeling before you denied Christ the third time?"... and we laugh! Heaven... a place of no pain, no hustle again!... I want to be there.

Thinking about the afterlife is depressing. So after all our life and fun here, that’s it? You don’t get to drink cold water again, no more EPL, no more woman wahala, no more food etc. That’s it. We just stop existing here. Life is so interesting and fun.

Tosin Eniolorunda of Moniepoint recently spoke about the challenge of finding tech talent at international standard in Nigeria. He’s I want to add to what he said, because I think it opens up a conversation we all need to have. The reason the gap exists isn’t because Nigerian talent is less capable. It’s because the system around them looks completely different from the US or UK. Over there, by the time a student finishes university, they’ve usually worked. Internships. Apprenticeships. Co-op programs. Real paid roles inside real companies while still in school. That’s how “international standard” gets manufactured — not in classrooms, but in the years of guided practice that happen around the classroom. In Nigeria, that pipeline doesn’t exist. Most students graduate without ever sitting in a real product team. Without ever shipping anything to a user. Without anyone showing them how the work actually gets done. So what do we do? We teach ourselves. We watch YouTube. We build side projects alone. We reverse-engineer other people’s products to understand them. We gain years of experience without anyone paying us. I did this. I was a software engineer. I know how it goes. The talent is here. Skilled. Hungry. Ready to learn. What we don’t have yet is the runway that lets them practice in real conditions before someone is willing to bet on them. So when Tosin points at this, he’s pointing at something real. The deeper question for all of us building in Nigeria is: how do we create the structure that produces it? Internship pipelines. Apprenticeships. Real product seats for people who haven’t fully proven themselves yet but clearly can. At didii, we’re trying to be one of the companies that gives the shot. If you have a real skill, something to offer, and you’re ready to learn and grow — check our careers page. We’re hiring builders, not résumés. didiiai.com/careers

Count the apps on your phone you use only for money. Most people get to 6. One for transfers. One for bills. Two bank apps because one is always down. Crypto. Biller website saved in your browser. Six platforms. Six logins. Not one of them knows your name. That's the problem. That's why I built didii. How many did you count? As a woman, it’s very very important to have your own full life. A romantic partnership is only an addition to your life and shouldn’t be the entirety of it. Have your own full life and have your own. 🧏🏾‍♀️

You don’t have to like nor hate someone to have the IQ to understand a statement. I don’t like him but I get it. A church rat eats poisoned communion not out of stupidity, but out of starvation. You can't ask underdeveloped nations to abandon their economic lifeline (crude oil) for "environmental concerns" when they don't have the luxury of an alternative. It’s survival vs. sustainability. One correct statement doesn’t make his administration less of a failure so admitting the statement was a good one doesn’t disprove your stance, unless you innocently misinterpreted it because you actually couldn’t comprehend it.

While I bring a close to the "@moniepointng crusades," because this week is going to be really busy for me, just want to say I've contributed my mettle to the "talent gap" and related issues, in Nigeria, both as a trainer, an advocate, and a manager, and I know what I've seen in terms of quality of talent within the Nigerian talent ecosystem. In the first cohort of the Microsoft Leap program, I saw ladies who came in as noobs and studied unrelated topics like Biochemistry, arguing Network Subnetting by the 3rd week of training. Within 2 years, most of them were made Leads and Seniors in the companies they were placed at. Several of them relocated outside the country obviously because employers here didn't see or value their worth. Whether you have a huge following or not, but especially if you do, understand that being the pillar and ladder to those coming after you is the lowest hanging fruit to cement your name in the annals of posterity. I'm not expecting Tosin to apologize, but I'm hoping he reconsiders his statements, and I hope every other Technical Leader in this country have the mindset to elevate young minds and talents who are not the cause of their present predicaments, but use their existing platforms and resources to prune and elevate perhaps unpolished diamonds in the ecosystem. Ciao!

One of the issues in hiring in Nigeria is that people don't understand first principles. Computer Science isn't about coding. It's about mathematical concepts and logic that facilitate the creation of computing tools and platforms. A bulk of Computer Science is actually Mathematics, but as they apply to computing. For example, you learn Automata Theory, Context Free Grammars (CFGs), etc etc. It's largely theoretical. Now, a Computer Scientist should use knowledge got from Automata Theory to build Compilers or Programming Languages. That's how it works. Many of these self-taught developers just take a stack and run with it without understanding the underlying workings. You still can't be at the level of Computer Scientists who deeply understand these concepts and create tools that you use and feel good about yourselves. Your bootcamp and Udemy subscription isn't a Computer Science degree.
Akintola Steve@Akintola_steve

Somewhere in Nigeria right now, a CS graduate with a second class upper is sitting next to a self-taught developer who never finished university. The self-taught developer ships faster, debugs better, understands systems more deeply, and gets paid more. The CS graduate spent four years studying computer science. The self-taught developer spent four years actually doing it. That difference didn't happen by accident.
