The Imphal West district has been the epicentre of Chaos & mayhem inflicted upon the tribal Zomi-Kuki community. In this district, we have witnessed the highest level of human rights violations and extreme dereliction of duty by the Manipur police which is being headed by S Ibombcha Singh MPS. Under him the worst form of Humanitarian crimes have been perpetrated by the Manipur police:
1. A seven-year-old child along with his mother and aunt were burnt alive by the Radical Meitei womenfolk (Meira Paibis) in an ambulance on their way to the hospital. It is on record that the security team led by S Ibomcha Singh personally handed over the victims to the Meira Paibis.
2. The Zomi-Kuki community women raped & butchered by the Radical Meitei Militants/Mobs (Arambai Tenggol and Meitei Leepun) in presence of Imphal West police personnels have been learnt from the harrowing tales of eye witnesses and the pogrom victims/ survivors.
3. The handing over of 4000+ automated rifles and over 5 lakhs ammunitions by the Manipur police happened under the nose of S Ibomcha Singh
No action has been taken so far against this so called fascist super cop who is responsible for ethnic cleansing of the minority communities and violation of human rights (especially the helpless child, women). Instead it has been proposed for the next level of promotion which is the Indian police service officer cadre.
We the Zomi-Kuki community strongly condemned the pogrom executioner, Mr Ibomcha Singh to be taken up for trial on rapes of women and genocide. We still have faith in the democracy of India and justice be done as per our Constitution.
