@adeptliberal It’s not too disagreeable, I just think you overly focus on the negative talking points about this admin sometimes. We used to have a town crier yet they don’t exist anymore, and that’s okay.
English

@Holdtoacc We all get to have our opinions, I would hope that most Americans would agree that public education is a good thing. If the times are evolving then we should evolve the public free education. Hopefully that statement isn’t to disagreeable.
English

@adeptliberal On a hierarchy of options, continually funding something that is now rather irrelevant is the worst of all possible options which is what we’ve been doing. Any change to that stagnated situation is superior.
English

@Holdtoacc Moving away from TV isn’t an excuse. As opposed to defunding it let’s fund education programs on streaming services. Especially for children.
Removing something isn’t a solution. Dismantling something without providing an alternative or a better way to do things isn’t good.
English

@adeptliberal I think you’re wrong about rfk and I think you’re wrong about this.
Society has continually moved away from TV. We don’t have to keep funding old programs just because.

@hasanthehun Have you ever thought about siding with a terrorist organization is not the right side?
English

I’m simply telling you that I would be willing to continue our debate if you will be willing to simply engage in the content with the full context.
The reality I see is that I have called you out for being uninformed and then you agreed that you haven’t watched the entire speech. I want to disengage until you have seen the full content and the context and you want to try and claw me back into debating with you.
You know how much I love our back and forth, so my message is of encouragement to engage with the full breath of the content before continuing.
English

@adeptliberal I don’t believe there is a reality that I watch the entirety of that boring speech and somehow it validates someone’s online argument of posting their autistic cousin with a job as a rebuttal to rfk. You’re telling me I’m going to change my mind?
English

Watching RFK speak is like watching a fall from grace in the saddest way. RFK has potential to help this country but his rhetoric is quickly disqualifying him from helping. This looks and feels like hindering.

Disparaging autistic people doesn’t help a single family.
English

Have you heard of the concept “content and context”. You need the framing around the specific points he makes.
But with all due respect, I don’t want to continue this until you have watched the entire speech. Content and context are vital. Scary things have happened when people take things out of context to make a point, drive legislation, start a religious movement, have online debate etc etc etc…
English

@adeptliberal I am addressing a specific point in RFKs speech that I did watch that people online are mad about. I don’t need more knowledge to address this specific point, if there is more to the speech people are complaining about, I wouldn’t be commenting on it until I watched it.
English

You unqualified to talk about the speech. No one should listen to anything you have to say concerning what RFK was talking about until you have actually watched the content.
The bare minimum to give an educated opinion is to at least watch the damn speech. Open your damn ears and listen to the content before you hop on here ready to debate when you by definition are uninformed.
If you want to be a part of the conversation actually engage with the content. Stop being part of the problem, you always debated in good faith until this topic. I love debating with you but I don’t want to continue this particular debate if you simply haven’t engaged with the entire content of his speech.
English

@adeptliberal I did not watch the whole speech, the whole speech is not what people online are complaining about.
People online are complaining specifically about rfk saying “they won’t go to dances, they’ve had their lives stolen from them” etc
English

@Holdtoacc No offense but I’m pretty convinced you have not watched the entire speech RFK made. Nothing you have said has given me the implication that you have actually took the time to hear what he actually said without edits or snippets from a news broadcast.
English

@adeptliberal People online are showing someone they know saying they are autistic and functioning, they are upset that rfk gave a speech talking about autistics.
If you are not one of those people then thanks for your clarification.
English

@Holdtoacc You’re wildly misinformed on the issues he was speaking about and implications of what he is trying to accomplish.
English

@adeptliberal There is no gate needed for common sense that severe autism is real
English

@adeptliberal No one needs to be a doctor to talk about severely autistic kids who will never be able to have a normal life. This is gate keeping to an absurd degree
English

It’s not a nothing burger issue. It’s not even a liberal/conservative issue. It’s an unqualified person that is an issue.
His statements are false. He speaks with authority on medical items without having any formal training or schooling. His positions are uninformed and he is spreading that message to gullible Americans like you who eat up and the defend it as a “nothing burger”.
Like I said, focus on food. Areas like that our country desperately needs help, correction and oversight. Based on his own personal transformation and understanding basic human health I feel he is qualified to make good changes in that area for all Americans.
Leave doctors to do the doctor work. We need desperately qualified experts in political positions. I need politicians who came from educated background on the positions they take. Get farmers to make good farming legislation, get scientists to make scientific policy decisions, get lawyers to make good law opinions etc etc etc…
There is a fundamental flaw of people who hold positions of authority talking about topics or areas of study they are not qualified to speak authoritatively on.
English

@adeptliberal His statement on autism was completely fine and pointed at people with severe autism, who exist and can’t do the things he was talking about. It’s really a nothing burger of an issue to the point people like yourself have to pull in other things to get mad about such as vaccines
English

His statements on Autism are incredibly ignorant.
His stance on vaccines is literally boarding on nonsense.
I want him to focus on food, but someone like him who is an anti vaccine conspiracy theorist with a degree in economics is simply not qualified with any level of true understanding when it comes to the western medical system and the modern miracles it affords to literally millions of people. I also want to be clear I don’t condemn holistic solutions and I don’t want to come across as being that way.
Doctor Mike I think does a really good job and showing in a 20v1 discussion with folks that I feel are simply in need of a honest doctor to explain them in clear terms how they have fallen victim to mis information.
RFK is the product of mis information and is now a source of mis information.
English

@adeptliberal This is like saying the sky isn’t blue though, I know people with autism who can’t do anything. That’s who he was talking about.
English

@adeptliberal I think people are giving the most bad faith interpretation possible.
He was clearly talking about severe autism, to which I know many, and they can’t function. It’s the truth.
English
