The tide has changed against Modi since 2025. People are more vocal about his failure as a PM. There are 1000s of memes on a daily basis mocking Modi and his weirdness and his lack of administrative skills. Desperate people lose all fear, hunger drives away the fear. #CompromisedPM

Funny how the same people who once ridiculed borrowing now defend it as necessary. Selective outrage isn’t governance, it’s hypocrisy. 😏

@AbijitG In short - UPA added debt for subsidy, but no tax cut NDA - Cutting taxes on domestic refined fuel, adding taxes for export.

@AbijitG Sorry, those were the Gsec yields. Oil Bond Yields were higher, at 9.4-9.8%. Yield not coupon. This govt is cutting the taxes, not borrowing for this at high rates. If revenue shortfall is to be funded by Gsec - Then also it is at a yield of ~7% as of yesterday

Wasn't this government portraying MMS as evil just last week for doing the same thing saying that it put future generations in debt and what not? Personally, I think it's ofcourse good only as long as prices are lower but it's hilarious the stands this govt takes and how cutely it's supporters also parrot haan sahi toh bol rahe hai. Apna katne par bhi Masterstroke Masterstroke karte rehte hai. Bade bhole hai.

International crude prices have gone through the roof in the last 1 month from around 70 dollars/barrel to around 122 dollars/barrel. Consequently, petrol and diesel prices for consumers have gone up all over the world. Prices have increased by around 30%-50% in South East Asian countries, 30% in North American countries, 20% in Europe and 50% in African countries. The Modi Government had two choices- either increase prices drastically for citizens of Bharat as all other nations have done or bear the brunt on its finances so that Indian citizen is insulated from international volatility. Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji, in keeping with his Government’s commitment of last 4 years since the conflict in Russia-Ukraine started, decided to take a hit on its own finances again to safeguard the Indian citizen. Government has taken a huge hit on it taxation revenues to ensure very high losses of oil companies (approximately 24 Rs/litre for petrol and 30 Rs/litre for diesel) at this time of sky high international prices are reduced. At the same time, export tax has been levied as international prices of petrol and diesel have skyrocketed and any refinery exporting to foreign nations will have to pay export tax. My gratitude to Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji and Hon’ble FM @nsitharaman Ji for this very timely, bold and visionary decision!

Relatable! In India, environmentalists who question the govt. and its crony capitalists are labelled, Urban Naxals. And even more tragically, journalists are being killed. For reporting on sand. On soil. On trees! rsf.org/en/almost-half…

I’m actually surprised that it took him so long to say it. Branding environmentalists as terrorists has very apparently been part of the plan all along.

The reduction in excise duty will provide cushion to the oil companies and not the consumers. This exact cushion could have been given to the consumers when crude prices were low for years, but the govt kept extracting money from people. The Govt could have reduced fuel prices but chose not to pass on the benefit to consumers, and instead kept raising fuel prices.

🔴#NewsAlert | Government slashes excise duty on petrol to Rs 3 per litre from Rs 13, and cut excise duty on diesel to zero from Rs 10 per litre.

@GauravPandhi Why didn't you reduce the taxes during UPA era, instead of creating oil bonds? Because govt needed tax to function

@anishgawande Why dont you use a Double Bottle connection? You keep 2 cylinders, when 1 is over you put in the other one and then order a refill. It has been the case for a long period of time. OMCs have it with them for more than 30 years atleast.
