Over the past couple of days, we've seen a spike in error codes and disconnects. The team has confirmed that these error codes are not related to the planned fixes rolling out for the recent crafting issue and are instead a result of DDoS attacks. While we typically don't confirm these types of attacks and do not plan to in the future for general game security reasons, we believe it's the right thing to do for our players to communicate the added pressure to our systems given recent circumstances. We want to thank our players for their patience as our teams work swiftly to ensure the integrity of the game and continue to implement our roadmap for future stability improvements.

@xxtigergalaxyxx @BungieHelp agreed. as someone who farms gms weekly, does do master raids/dungeons and other high end pve content. the fun guns were refreshing. it was a fun experience testing different perks on some of my favorite weapons.

@BungieHelp I loved watching people with those crafted guns actually made the game more fun not so hard, bro 25 mins in a gm instead of failing all the time and wasting time man made guardians more lore accurate, I don’t really feel like playing much anymore due to the fact the games

Due to ongoing work to fix remaining weapon crafting issues, the Master Crota's End Raid mode and Checkmate Control modifier in Crucible Labs have been delayed. Update 7.2.0.4, which includes a change to drop rates for the Essences of the Oversoul, has also been delayed as a result. We want to protect the player experience with these new activities, so we are now targeting a Thursday release at the soonest. Please stay tuned to @BungieHelp for future updates.

@Destiny2Team So besides understanding and fixing the problem, did you grasp new weapon combos? Possibly toned down version of the things players were enjoying?

We're not out of the woods yet - things are still a little spicy - but the latest update is an important step in the right direction. We'll have more updates as we continue to work on fixes. Thanks for all the patience while the team continues toward a permanent solution.

@BungieHelp while I understand why the exploit needs to be fixed and agree that it should be, I do believe that craftable weapons should have more perks to choose from. being able to craft bait n switch on to GLs aside from cataphract is nice

@BungieHelp I say this as someone who has accomplished most the endgame achievements without this exploit. A lot of y’all need to stop crying. I honestly can’t remember the last time i had more fun in this game. creating my own personal “God Killer” weapon has been a blast.

UPDATE: We're working on two fixes for this issue. There are no plans for a rollback. For the first fix, deploying within the next 24 hours, we’re building a server-side update that will disable all crafted weapons from being equipped. Players will still be able to craft weapons during this time. The second fix we’re building, which we hope to release soon after the first, will allow crafted weapons to be re-equipped but the outlier crafted weapons with “illegal” components will be reset to a default state.
