@marceelias I am no politician, @marceelias, but this seems like a carefully constructed olive branch — I personally wouldn’t want to swat it away. We are at the start of a new administration, I would take him at his word until he proves otherwise, that there will be bi-partisan effort.

There is an 'autocratic internet': China has created exactly that, with the priorities of surveillance and control built into the system. What should the 'democratic internet' look like? It's definitely not a world run by a tiny handful of untransparent companies...
