@AFC_Law @04gully Did you read what I wrote ? Since 22/23 we’ve kept downgrading in midfield with rice and didn’t replace the quality we had to the point that we have liabilities like rice and Zubi as our double pivot . Odegaard is very important now not because he’s always been the best

Gabriel and Saliba are more of the system than anyone else under Arteta, esp saliba cause we don’t win as much without him. We’re about to win the league without Saka being at his best and odegaard only starting 13 games. Let’s be serious please

@AFC_Law @04gully Saka was exceptional without odegaard and we didn’t have a a ball progression issue because Partey was progressing the ball . Saka doesn’t necessarily need ode, we just don’t have Partey or white and one or all around Saka makes him better

ill explain it simply. the system is 2 part. gabi, saliba are the defensive part of the system. ODE SAKA are the only part of the attack system. you wonder why saka has been shit for the last 2 seasons well ode has been in and out of injury for the last 2 seasons, even at the 2nd half of last season he played while having an injury for weeks. the reality we wont see 23/24 arsenal until both ode and saka are back UNINJURED, we prob wont see that until next season. Lastly 1 fatal problem in our system is our full backs inverting into attack instead of midfield. if both those things change for next season we will win it AGAIN even if we dont buy a single player this summer (we obv will buy players)

if he or zubi did this every matchday then we would agree he can carry the ball. here is the fact. THEY DONT EVEN ATTEMPT THIS. to be clear and attmept would be him trying to do this and prob getting stopped somehwere in the halfway line and loosing the ball, he and zubi dont even attempt it and get stopped so its not that HE CANT carry but rather they DONT ATTEMPT TO CARRY.

@adventistgem @cfc_hemmy Well he can. Or he is smart enough to find a direct good pass. That is called press resistance. Since you are an arsenal fan, Partey is another great example. He rarely needed to use his body&strength aswell. Inviting bodychecks & tackles is NOT press resistance
