@Mr_Rablin There is also a 4th: "fawn" the act of compliance w/ the stressor. U comply w/ expectations out of fear. The forced compliance of the 1950s school model has shown just how many "fawns" exist. When the walls of the classroom fell away, Ss disconnected from their education.

There's a lack of awareness that amygdala hijack doesn't result in just fight or flight, but it also can include freeze, or the student appearing to shut down. The kid with their head down isn't being disrespectful. They might be threatened and in need of support.

Suggestion here: Instead of pushing out content, or classes and activities, can we spend the first week of school (or longer) teaching students HOW to be an online student? Let them get familiar with the platforms and technology first. Teachers too. #reimagineWaED #neuraled #
