Deputy Philip Ozouf has been suspended from the Assembly for a third time in just over six months. 34 members voted to suspend him and 5 voted against suspending him. He will be suspended for 28 days without pay.

Deputy Sir Philip Bailhache is trying to get the States Assembly to postpone the debate on suspending Ozouf as Ozouf is unwell and unable to be present for the debate. @DeputyTadier tells the assembly that Ozouf’s immigration offences were not victimless crimes.

Earlier I spoke to @BBCNews, breaking the news that Jersey had passed an Assisted Dying law. 32 politicians voted in favour, 16 voted against.

Jersey becomes the second place in the British Isles to approve an Assisted Dying Law. 32 politicians voted in favour of the law with 16 voting against. The Health Minister said Jersey would have one of the safest and most transparent Assisted Dying laws in the world

Speaking to @BBCNews ahead of Jersey politicians voting tomorrow on whether to introduce an Assisted Dying Law. If the law is approved Jersey would become the second place in the British Isles to approve an Assisted Dying law.
