Chanhassen Elementary (@ChanhassenES) was one of 353 schools recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2023. Nine schools in Minnesota received the honor this year. This is the first ECCS school to receive the award.

@chrisconzen From my vantage point, it’s a generational issue…senior leadership in higher ed is a bit more ‘senior’ than in other industries, and it’s really showing in how HR practices fall further behind the curve as we rely on the value system of Boomers to set institutional priorities.

Kids school is closing early today…but we both work. How in the world do schools expect parents to be able to leave work at the drop of a hat in an hour? I have a TV show I have to shoot at 1pm today for the #Vikings… School is dismissing at 12:45p… They need a better plan.

Things are looking up for me. The president had to resign because of a scandal and the dean took a job as chancellor at another institution! Everyone in leadership who can leave is leaving! The worse things get, the better my chances of becoming the dean of the college!

@danbureau @chrisconzen Totally agree…between those loyal to hied sticking around to wait it out who will inherit an ever-growing mess to navigate and the departure of talented folks right now who aren’t as loyal to hied and fed up with inaction, resentment for new exec leaders highly likely!
