@AlphaISMRadio @lukeclarckson @hashtagclerith I just came across this comment randomly, and I just wanted to say that yogachara doesn't explain everything that's been shown in the remakes. Namely, the whispers in Remake whose combat data explicitly define them as beings that "protect the future that gave shape to it".

That's the thing, as I explained in my other post, I don't think these worlds are representing alternate timelines. If Nojima is using Yogachara and Carl Jung as his inspiration for the story, then it's almost certainly something far more personal. Consider this: in the other worlds, we see 3 main characters: Biggs, Aerith, and Zack. What unfortunate truth do they all have in common, and more importantly, *who* was there when it happened? Nomura's comments are enlightening because he mentions these worlds as differing *perceptions* of the FF7 story, not different FF7 stories (as the case would be with a multiverse plot). This is also consistent with Yogachara (how one perceives reality).

#AerithWeek 6: Rosemary
The necklace is a sprig of Rosemary. In flower language, it means Remembrance. A heartbreakingly perfect detail for the girl we can never forget. It also symbolize loyalty.

Megane-Kun@Monsterbf1Ilove
#AerithWeek 5: Hibiscus It symbolizes delicate beauty, charm, femininity, and the fleeting nature of life due to its short bloom time. This is a heartbreaking metaphor for her. She shines bright and beautiful but her time is short. #エアリス

@xxwxxxxxx @digitalfoundry looks the same as PS5 performance mode, which is impressive considering Switch 2 is closer to a PS4 Pro

Reaction to the first footage of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on Switch 2 - an ambitious port, with intelligent compromises. Looking forward to seeing more: digitalfoundry.net/news/2026/02/f…

@AlphaISMRadio @lukeclarckson @hashtagclerith of course, it’s all speculation. only Square knows what’s coming in part 3, and I trust it will be good! this is just me trying to make sense of their conflicting interviews vs. what’s shown in game.
the only truth I know for sure, is that Aerith deserves to live!

@AlphaISMRadio @lukeclarckson @hashtagclerith to the great question of “which is canon”, this ending would say, “both. it’s always been both”, which I think is a much better note to land on than retconning any fans out of the finale.
