A good example of what we are looking for with soybeans. 20% of the pods have 4 beans, and there just may be a 5 in there. Average 4 pods per mainstem node. Planted at 110k, final stand around 95k. Grower did a great job.

Pleasant surprise w/ grower. Evaluated ears from several fields (see one ear). Had one field accidentally planted 77k per acre (see 2 ears). Fieldview says they’ve had 7 inches rain since planting. Amazing figures. See secret weapon. @NCCornGrowers @NCExtension

This is what the rye & hairy vetch cover crop looks like after being rolled (cover crop rolled may have been a little earlier) and planted 4/29 with corn. Looks great. Now let’s see how the corn performs.
