Isn't the tether IPO (if there even is one) a positive for CRCL in that there was rumors it $500b (!) market cap vs CRCL ~$30b? this is still the most pure play stablecoin adoption name you can buy with a legitimate team and solid partnerships Also, tether is not Genius compliant Happy to hear opposing views

Loaded up the truck on CRCL today. Wrote the pitch at $70, saw it go to $50, didn't enter & watched it rip to $130 without me and now a knee jerk reaction from the market to dump it to $100 for a god given entry CRCL is one of those stocks with a pretty strong adverse reaction. Lots of bears with very valid points: - Tether IPO - Losing $ to CB distribution - CRCL team don't execute like HOOD / has negative optics similar to CB But IMO that just means more room to grow if those levers get changed - it's adversely priced for failure right now, which makes the wall of worry that much steeper to climb. The bull case is real - This bill has ST pain for USDC (Assumed TVL loss due to farmers) but has LT stronger outcome - Second order effect = Can re-negotiate CB distribution ++ gives leverage to CRCL for the negotiations - Stablecoins as still the best thesis (Even Druckenmiller is bullish stablecoins) ; CRCL remains the only pure play IMO CRCL boils down to 2 levers at this point in time - USDC Growth Rate and % Cut to Coinbase; modelling that out (Claude is pretty insane) you get to build a pretty good bear / base / bull scenario. At the most bearish scenario you basically had CRCL trading at mid ~50s (30x multiple) which basically means the market was pricing in the worst case scenario for CRCL Anyways, all in all I think it's worth a punt

BREAKING: company that makes money on treasury yields and faces constant questions around whether that take rate can persist FALLS nearly 20% on news that it may now have a regulatory moat that helps it keep the yield

@matthew_sigel Or maybe the clarity act news more likely… tether already stated they would be offshore. Could be audited by God. They are 1-for-1 backed by dollar WHICH IS FINE but not genius complient

$CRCL falls ~15% after the CLARITY Act deal signals no yield on stablecoin balances by allowing only activity-based rewards. That weakens a key part of the bull case by making USDC harder to evolve from a payments utility into a real store-of-value product.

Iran’s internet is at 4% capacity. They have no military left and make very little money themselves keeping the straight open. They have been decimated. How can you explain the latest moves as ‘taco’ ? Going further would cause hitler level death and destruction. ‘Taco’ was if they never bombed in the first place. Deciding not to take it further is humane. But you and most will call it ‘taco’ cause you are hoping for downside

TACO: Trump Always Chickens Out. Maximum pressure, instant retreat, geopolitics as taco-folding. Looks full, one squeeze and it collapses. The cost of chickening out this time isn't a headline. It's an empire. open.substack.com/pub/garrettres…

@Citrini7 Why? Its actually a great out for the US, no? The Jews have been fighting Muslims for decades. Nothing is 'new' in that. They will carry on fighting forever as well. Good time for US to say adios and go back to buying Greenland

Idk how much upside you miss out on by waiting for this (maybe too much) but it seems like you really want Israel to announce it’s on board with deescalation before pressing

The term 'taco' has become so overly used.. for instance there was no 'taco' here IMO given the US/Isreal used the equiv of something like 3-4 hiroshima bombs in a 3 week campaign killing 'only' <2000 people Iran is cooked. reports of ~4% of their internet is available. This is not a 'taco' - they already delivered when everyone wanted them to chicken out.. now the option to carry on via blowing up power plants etc will bring death tolls to that of hitler level proportions and frankly no human alive rn is that evil (I hope) but certainly not Trump

🇸🇦SAUDI ARABIA: Ayatollah Khamenei the new Hitler of the Middle East Mohammed bin Salman says “He wants to expand. He wants to create his own project in the Middle East, very much like Hitler did." Many countries didn’t realize how dangerous Hitler was until it was too late. I don’t want to see that happen here.”

.@POTUS is defanging the Iranian regime and bringing peace to the Middle East. Given another year or two, it would have been impossible to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. There is no prosperity without security, and what we had before was the illusion of security. Thanks to President Trump’s decisive action, our world is now a safer and more secure place.

@johnkonrad This was a fascinating read. My only rebuttles would be 1) Allies like Saudi need to be 'in' on this given the toll its taking on them, no? 2) risk of a severe, albeit potentially short, downturn in global markets whilst already fragile could, in some ways, be unrecoverable

But PLEASE go look at the evidence. Go formulate your own hypothesis. Test yours. Test mine. This is an X thread abaout a hypothesis written by an America ship captain who supports Trump.... not the ground truth. An American captain with an adgenda: getting Europe to wake up to the growing importance of 🇺🇸 maritime interests.

Let's unpack this.. What if the White House has no intention of reopening the Strait of Hormuz? What if this war is really about ships & tariffs? I had a long discussion with senior DOE official yesterday on background. I can’t share any details but it’s clear everyone’s Strait of Hormuz calculus is wrong. We need to go back to the drawing boards. That's it. That's the tweet. Now a hypothetical 🧵 with my personal thoughts.

But besides Trump's tweet let's look at the evidence: look what the Navy is doing. Or rather, not doing. The U.S. Navy is in no rush to solve this problem. They are methodically, deliberately, taking their time. Army battalions are not mobilizing. The Marines called in from Japan are slow-steaming across the Pacific; it could be weeks until they’re ready. Minesweepers are still far from the battle space. Carriers are slowly rotating, not surging. They are working to reopen the Strait but do not appear to be in any hurry. Someone at the top told them to take their time. That signal has to be coming from the White House. And now you understand why. The longer the Strait stays closed, the more the leverage builds. Every day, 1,000 trapped vessels burn charter costs. Every day, European energy dependence deepens. Every day, the DFC reinsurance facility becomes more central to the global shipping system. Every day, the case for concessions on tariffs, the IMO, Greenland, and the SHIPS Act becomes harder for Europe to refuse. And what does the Navy get for playing along? Support for battleships and stronger allies willing to spend money building their own destroyers when it becomes clear to the world how weak their navies have become.

As some of you know, my dad has been fighting lung cancer for the past 2 years. If any of you have any experience with the medical system, you know that the family/patient have to be aggressive advocates. Doctors have a lot of patients and, as much as I’m sure they’d like to, don’t have infinite time. It’s been pretty amazing to see how AI has enabled my mom to be an advocate by translating medical terminology and explaining complex issues. Definitely makes things a lot easier and has made the entire process more manageable. Whenever we get a new test result, she puts it into chat GPT or Claude and (especially now that it has memory) it updates her on what’s going on. Incredibly helpful and really has maximized the communication with his team.

🚨 Here is the full 40 minutes of my crew and I exposing California fraud, Minnesota was big but California is even bigger... We uncovered over $170,000,000 in fraud as these fraudsters live in luxury with no consequences. Like it and share it, the fraud must STOP. We ALL work way too hard and pay too much in taxes for this to be happening. These fraudsters have been able to defraud American taxpayers for years without any pushback from the public and politicians. It is time to EXPOSE IT ALL and end America's fraud crisis.
