Ian Wright was an explosion of energy on the football pitch . A hat-trick v Bolton sealed the all-time Arsenal goal scoring record sending Highbury into a frenzy . Ian busted a gut for the Gunners and he a special bond with the fans which was a two-way relationship - top player

We started with 236 songs. After a rollercoaster ride we’re now down to the final 2. It’s been an absolutely fantastic contest with shocks and surprises all the way through. A massive thank you to everyone who has got behind it. One last time… 1 - Sex Pistols 2 - David Bowie

Walk under the Thames like it’s 1902. The Greenwich Foot Tunnel is one of London’s most underrated crossings: a 1,215-ft / 370-m cast-iron tube lined with around 200,000 white tiles, running beneath the River Thames between Greenwich (by the Cutty Sark) and Island Gardens on the Isle of Dogs. The London County Council built it as a free, all-weather route so workers living south of the river could reach the docks and shipyards on the north bank—no ferry, no tolls, no delays.

Woolwich Arsenal Director’s badge circa 1893-1913, probably the rarest Arsenal badge in existence. Found by a detectorist on Plumstead Common in 2015, sold at auction for £3,400 in 2016.

@mick_wyman @aussieafc Cracking cup tie , both Brighton and Arsenal gave their all . No one really moaned about set plays back then. The only stats that matter in a game of football is the final scoreline .

@afcmick66 @aussieafc I remember it as a good cup-tie with third division Brighton taking the lead. I was watching Arsenal as they were next opponents were Luton Town. Arsenal won that one as well, 2-1. The debate over set plays is amusing at the moment. Arsenal were very good in that era as well.

Its Brighton v Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday. This was a previous meeting in the FA Cup back in 1988. A 2-1 away win for Arsenal at the Goldstone Ground, with goals from Kevin Richardson & Perry Groves. Garry Nelson scored for Brighton.
