Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft. They all want the same, and the path is clear. The only difference is their respective marketing/PR and timeline. All these companies benefit from going all digital and having more control. It's all about the money. It's always about the money.

@danielkleach @Dansgaming 1. Why would any company take away your license for a game? 2. If the prices rise too much, the demand will drop and in turn profits, forcing the company to lower the prices in return. The market regulates itself in cases like this.

@Dansgaming Used games weren’t just cheaper games. They were how a lot of kids got to participate in gaming at all. A digital-only future sounds convenient until ownership disappears and every price is controlled from one storefront. Sad times ahead.

I really worry that a lot of people will get priced out of gaming with used games going away with discs. I know when I was younger, I would never have been able to afford some games at full price. Used games were a saving grace.

To the folks still defending Sony's pathetic decision to remove physical media from their production, here's a solid reminder why I will never support and you shouldn't either. I had to literally sue Playstation because my OG account was wrongfully banned and it took me 3 years to get it back. All of my licenses and games I paid for digitally were gone. $3,000 worth of items gone due to something that was never my fault in the first place.
