Tip 91: My Take on Geographical Preference If you genuinely have a geographical preference, especially if it aligns with your Gold Signals and is supported by family or personal ties, it will work in your favor. Programs see this as a sign that you are more aligned, committed, and genuinely interested in their location, which sends a strong and positive message. If you do not have a geographical preference, you may lose that extra edge, but it will not negatively impact you overall. You can still apply broadly and remain competitive. #Match2026 #IMresidency #IMwithArslan #AIinMedicine #ERAS #CV

It’s been a while since I last posted here, but what better way to return than by sharing this milestone: I’ve officially completed all the USMLE steps. Onward to the next chapter of this incredible journey. I hope the future is kind and worth the years and the tears. #USMLE

Burnout Reason: 1) Unnecessary Admin Tasks 2) Irrelevant QI Projects 3) Extra EMR clicks 4) Insurance denials leading to peer to peer 5) Lack of Appreciation and understanding by leadership 6) Low Reimbursement

It’s been a long time coming. 16 years since I started at Khyber Medical College, Peshawar. But finally can call myself an Interventional Cardiologist Alhamdulillah, albeit 8000 miles away, from Khyber to California!!

Alhamdulillah, I passed one of the toughest Cardiology exams, and that too in my first year of Cardiovascular Fellowship, with a very busy routine. It was only possible with the help of Allah and the support of family, friends, and colleagues. #CardioTwitter #Cardiology
