STATEMENT FROM ALEXANDRA MEDICAL CENTER

The tragedy of Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba is not his mortality but his Calculated Survivalist, a strategic preference for longevity over legacy that effectively neuters the prophetic voice of the Church. When he claims, “I am not here to carry all your problems,” he is signalling a Functional Abdication, meaning he is choosing to strip the Archbishopric of its role as a moral buffer between the oppressed and the state. By dismissing Janani Luwum’s martyrdom as a "mission that ended there", Kaziimba commits a Theological Devaluation, which essentially means he is measuring the success of a divine calling by the metric of physical safety rather than moral impact. This survivalist logic reveals a deep-seated Institutional Capture. The Archbishop is no longer an independent shepherd; he has become a secondary node in the state’s power grid. His primary concern has shifted from speaking truth to power to maintaining the comfort of his proximity to it. The irony is that every time he disparages Luwum’s "failed" mission to justify his own silence, he triggers an Involuntary Canonization. He inadvertently elevates Luwum to the status of an unreachable angel while simultaneously accelerating his own Moral Demotion, which is the process of losing the public’s respect as he shrinks from a spiritual giant into a mere bureaucratic functionary. Kaziimba isn't "doing his part and leaving it to God"; he is doing the State's part by pacifying the frustrated.
