I prefer games with scoring tied to individual levels because what do you mean I have to 1cc this game *every time* in order to possibly beat my previous high score?

Kid Chameleon features 103 levels but zero save or password functions, forcing a brutal one-sitting marathon! You can skip almost the entire game by finding a secret warp.

I feel like it would be so much easier to learn how to draw if I had close friends who were into art too. Idk.

Really tired of the "Arcade games were hard to take your quarters, this is not good game design and it should die" As if people would put another quarter if the game was bad. They really believe people would spend money to suffer?

@guest_orz I agree. It feels so rewarding to figure out a tough pattern, though some are so insane that it is really helpful to learn it from someone else.

Never do that. Do never draw like that. Rendering teeth this way is a warcrime of drawing. Just don't. Unless you want a creepy character.

@RicFromSSS Bro, the Sonic movies are complete trash, and this is coming from a long-time Sonic fan.

Before people cry and say this is a “Sonic fan’s bias”, I don’t think the Sonic movies are high art by any means. It’s acceptable family affair, but they have genuine soul behind them and the fundamentals of a movie. I can’t say the same for Illumination’s Mario.

Just gonna say it, the Mario movie was one of the most soulless & bland pieces of entertainment I ever watched. An hour and a half of a recognizable IP’s iconography being shoved in your face with no real story, character development or anything to connect with emotionally.

Apparently I never posted this. I did a bit of a study using Reco from Mushihimesama, one of the best games ever made. I really want to draw more of her.

Probably Cotton Fantasy/Rock 'n Roll. Can't get past the game running at a low frame rate on my Deck and how tedious it is to avoid changing your weapon.

@kiwitalkz Oh, Super Metroid could use a remake with better control and better 2D visuals, absolutely. The problem is that there is a 100% chance it would have shitty 3D visuals a la Metroid Dread and be an inferior experience in every way to appeal to modern gamers lol

So there are rumours of a Super Metroid Remake coming out but does Super Metroid really need a remake?? Its perfect as it is and for people that struggle with the controls Super Metroid Redux fixes those issues anyway. I heard years ago from a source(a bit of a mixed rep) that Nintendo were analyzing why Metroid wasn't more popular despite the acclaim the franchise has and they determined it was because the franchise had too many droughts and they wanted to prevent it going forward, I didn't think much of it at the time and thought it might just be noise but maybe it is true cause that's the only reason why I would think they would remake Super Metroid, to keep the IP in the spotlight because the game definitely doesn't need a remake.

@imdrunkontea I only have considered getting a Switch 2 for the bigger screen, but I've heard worrying reports about the batteries. Not sure how credible they are, fwiw.

People who have Switch 2, is it worth it? Worried about the price going up soon...
