Honestly one of my favorite boss fights in the game. I love how it incorporates magic and has you fighting in a non-traditional way to bypass its defenses.

It felt like such a chore to get through, too. And this is apparently the best of the non numbered titles. I really just want to play 3, but I also wanted to complete BbS for the story, and watching cutscenes just isn't the same.
I just feel so frustrated and burned out.

I think I'm going to take a break from Kingdom Hearts. The fact that my cleared Ventus file is just... gone is upsetting. All it took was one button press, and every command that I melded, every level-up I grinded for, every sticker I collected, etc. is just gone.

@Thatisdiffi they take a while to charge. I'm at least grateful that the final Vanitas battle was a tiny bit less difficult and I felt like I could actually reliably dodge him.

@Thatisdiffi I feel like I don't completely understand the game. Like I get the gist of the command deck system, but I feel like there's some strategy to it all that I'm just not understanding. Ventus has the absolute worst melee attacks ever, but I can't rely solely on the commands bc >

@Thatisdiffi other two campaigns on Standard since the game is still showing that Ventus' story is cleared, then I'll just watch the secret episode on YouTube

@Thatisdiffi Ventus also keeps doing aerial attacks against the tree, and it's so unpredictable. I'm trying to chip away at it while also using commands as they recharge. I also tried using shotlock which I keep forgetting exists. 🫠 Honestly considering just playing through the >
