I really pushed the saturation of the surface near Mare Orientale and started to see pockets of iron oxide appear that weren’t obvious in my first pass. This is invaluable information for understanding how these ancient features formed.
This is the type of thing I hoped to find in the data collected by @astro_reid during the Artemis II lunar flyby.

@darwesh_singh @boltgraphics I want to start a riscv based core company in the UK!

*We taped out our TSMC 12 nm test chip!!!*
I’m really proud of the @boltgraphics team - we are announcing the successful tapeout of our TSMC 12 nm test chip, which includes key parts of the Zeus GPU we are building!
We are on track to achieve our performance and efficiency targets, as well as our customer target to reduce TCO by up to 17x. We’ve been working with large enterprises, startups, research institutions, individual developers and end users for years now, and they’ve been providing positive feedback on our hardware and software!
We aim to enter mass production in Q4 2027, right in time for the holidays! If you’re not already a part of this amazing journey, sign up on our website to get early access to Zeus or apply for a job!

@davepl1968 I’m experimenting with binary asm representation of rtl, before emitting verilog from the asm. for claude, a good claude.md and a few skills are needed to plan and infer sub agents in coordinated “rtl asm engineer” like swarm. I guess the same needs to be done for x86 asm

Today I figured I'd give it a shot: can ChatGPT produce a complete binary application in "machine language" with no intermediate representation?
Yes, it can. And the binary is 1024 bytes... and it works!

If you vibe code in assembly, you don't even need a compiler.

I ported Mac OS X to run natively on the Nintendo Wii - an idea I had over 10 years ago that I finally pursued last year.
Here’s how I pulled it off:

Vinyl is quaint, but if you're going for a retro format, it's hard to beat the quality of reel-to-reel...
Especially now that you can dub from CD/losslessMP3 directly to tape, you can create tapes that are far higher quality than vinyl.
In fact, they're so good that they approach the quality of the discount MP3 player in a Cracker Jack box!
Plus, I once booted my KIM-1 off it out of respect, but that's a different story...

My dad laughed when I began collecting vinyl records 20 years ago. He didn’t understand why I wanted an inferior, expensive, dated media format—one he was glad to have ditched. Now I’m that way seeing kids using old iPods. Makes no sense. They’re worse than phones in every way.

@agentdavo wow! they already have the T4 on an FPGA, maybe the T8 in the future... in such case, it might even be possible to run uClinux on an FPGA-based T8! 😮

@samsoniuk NOMMU forever! 😂 working on a beautiful WM using losevka font. The MOVE* instructions on T8 are neat
English

@samsoniuk Yes!!
T8 based emu, I forked github.com/pahihu/t4 and added a memory mapped uart and vga.
I have finished a port of tinycc for transputer along with a btl tool.
2.6.39 kernel boots fine.

I have a new Matsuura MX850 PC4 just arrived and possibly a Cublex35 PC32 with grinding next year and want to make a “desktop 5 axis” made in England UK. It has to be an exquisite in all detail. Every part a mechanical design statement. A stunning biomimetic inspired cast iron frame with the great damping and ability to stay rigid an accurate cutting steels/titanium. The MX850 has a 400kg limit but can load the base casting on one table, trunnion and Z on another. Just an idea at this stage. 😂

@agentdavo This is what I do ;)
