@scarra As someone who grew up in HK and moved to the states and now in the collectibles space, I almost cried watching this vlog. You captured the essence of HK so beautifully and I was shocked with how much those malls changed. those places used to be filled with electronics and toys.

A master TCG collector showed us what a counterfeit One Piece card looks like with a money counterfeit detector at West Coast Card Show! Everyone around us had no idea this was possible.

@ZhuFPV Prior to this he showed us that money has certain lines printed that are only visible through detectors. Although cards don’t have this specifically, he claimed that the print quality/material is different therefore counterfeits shows off differently under the detector.

@agentdmg I bought the entire 48 kit from a card shop that didn’t know what to do with them, it was an older couple. Also, these packs are wave 2, I don’t think they are searchable without damaging the packs or the cards potentially. I’ve tried the flashlight trick and it doesn’t work.

Regarding BGS/TAG vs PSA, I do like BGS/TAG’s grading standards more, agreed.

The Riftbound collector community seems to be shifting toward preferring other grading companies (TAG and BGS) for clean cards over PSA. At this point, if you have a card that’s cleaner than a PSA 10, it would be a mistake to send it to PSA. I expect Riftbound’s print quality will only improve, so PSA 10s will likely carry less and less of a premium in the future compared to cards graded by stricter companies, especially given the consistently high quality of RB cards. With PSA’s slow turnaround times and reputation for damaging more cards than their competitors, is there even a reason to grade clean cards with them anymore? #riftbound #tcg #psa #tag #bgs

Tweeting as this has come up 3x in the last 24hrs - I'm the person who bought the Hartford Jinx & it seems like the sale price of it is actively being lied about to ppl in order to extort more from a sale. I paid just over 33k in total for the card. Any claim of 40's+ is a lie

@imfromthesoul @LSXYZ9 We've been telling people that it makes no sense that PSA 10s cost more than BGS 10s. BGS 10s are more difficult to get. That's also why looking at gem rates is really important too.

Please dont DM me your PSA10 cards. It takes 5mins of research to realize that most cards spawn in at PSA10. To not get a psa10 w/ a raw card is so funny due to Riot's amazing QC. This is why I lean so heavy on BGS/Black Labels
