I raised a slight eyebrow at the sheer quantity of mods, but it's not like the sassy duck game dev where the attitude is unpromptedly abrasive, so it's fine, tbh

@aggressive2hu @PmorkenX I think it can be like this, but Mina is a pretty unique game. They've spent years... like 10+ years or something they've just decided to make it as feature complete as they can. I mean maybe it sucks and the difficulty options were a sign but I think the game deserves a chance.

I'm curious as to why people are mad at this sort of thing. The argument I see is "it's the dev's responsibility to balance the game into the intended experience and sliders takes that away", the intended experience is still there. It's the one where you don't touch the sliders.

@TrixyTrixter @PmorkenX I don't even inherently dislike the idea of making it easier to experience more games for those with severe impairments, but I can't help but notice that they're often the ones who push to their limits to beat things fairly. That just looks like they enjoy doing it, right?

@aggressive2hu @PmorkenX Pretty much ye. I have seen a blind person play fighting games at high skill level. I have seen a dude paralyzed from the neck down beat Dark souls. The people with disabilities who wants to play games WILL play those games.

@biggusmaximus1 @PmorkenX Achievements are a social flexing commodity and aren't essential for enjoying a game (barring if it locks something), so it makes sense to me to keep them at a higher base level of challenge that doesn't allow for assistance. That lets them keep their trophy aura better.

@biggusmaximus1 @PmorkenX Tbh, I like actual options like those, especially if they're added to help people enjoy and finish the base layer of a game. I'm just iffy on whether they should be allowed for unlocking optional skill based achievements since that makes them feel less special to many people.
