Here’s a look at a few of the beautiful azaleas and rhododendrons in flower right now. Of course, the real beauty of Exbury is that there’s as much shade as you need on a hot day. So whether you’re a sun worshipper or prefer to play it cool, Exbury is the place for you.

I’m going to coin the collective noun of a squiggle of tadpoles!! Never seen such a swarm of them…clouds, rivers even! Also quite chuffed with the amateur wildlife filming! @exburygardens

Interesting side-effect of the long, cold spring is that some plants which are flowering late are catching-up with those whose body clocks aren’t out of sync…perfect example here @exburygardens cloud pruned azaleas are flowering at the same time as the epic wisteria.

Perfection @exburygardens. Not much more to say really - the joyous cascading fountains of blossom covered branches of a staggeringly large Malus transitoria. Not a blemish on a petal, not a petal yet to fall… alive with bees and with a birdsong backdrop announcing Spring.

@British_Airways your online system isn’t working, if you try & call you just get cut off saying you’re too busy to speak & go online…but online isn’t working…how do I break this ridiculous vicious circle & physically talk to someone? Urgently?! Please.

Hard to imagine given all the drizzling, freezing rain today, that for a very brief moment this morning, the sun came out! … and I was able to capture this! Magnolia campbellii is always the first out of the starting blocks in spring. What a joy! 💕

@chrisbunnett @emmamasonpr @exburygardens The soil around the feeding roots of this tree (top 300mm) has been compacted by foot traffic. By blasting air directly into the ground in the root plate of the tree it opens up soil structure again which improves flow of water & nutrients. Biochar is fed directly to the roots.

The awesomeness of geo-injecting biochar & mycorrhoriza directly to the rootzone; whilst at the same time the compressed air decompacts the soil & literally breathes new life into the tree. Watch the soil physically lift! Amazing work happening today @exburygardens.
