In the Protestant view, you go straight to the King—alone. In the Catholic view, when you go to the King... His Mother meets you at the door. His foster father places a hand on your shoulder. The whole family of saints rejoices. Why would I settle for going alone? Catholics don’t go around Jesus. We go through His family... because that’s how He came to us. The Incarnation came through Mary. The protection of the Savior came through Joseph. We’re not settling for less. We’re embracing the fullness of the love Jesus Himself chose.
