ALERT: Woman trying to rob 7-Eleven with her dog shot by Los Angeles Police after pointing a pellet gun at officers.
LAPD arrived at the scene after receiving a radio call about a robbery in progress at the convenience store.
Cynthia Anne Ivie Akers, 53, then refused to comply with the officers and grabbed a gun and pointed it at them. After investigating, it was revealed to be a pellet gun.
Akers died at the scene.
