That can work in isolation but having that as your only strategy feels outdated.

Can't see City holding Trafford's agent to ransom this summer. He'll get a decent move and go and be number 1 somewhere, which is what he deserves. And City will still have the better goalkeeper. Everyone wins.

Spurs, Bodo, utd. Even the 2nd half v Newcastle on Weds. All very, very poor sides yetwe looked so short of energy, ideas and effort.
Not sure why an away fixture at a ground we rarely win at agaisnt a team that’ll finish top 4, would suddenly give anyone a reason for optimism.

I’ve a certain admiration for Berts who genuinely, or even hopefully, think we’ll win today.
I can’t think of a single game in the last 7 weeks that would give anyone any evidence that we’re capable of getting a win at Anfield. But some people can sense a victory.

Fulham is a tough place to go. A big game to show if Saturday was anything to be worried by, or just a bad day.
Saturday spoke to a squad lacking in true depth, and a flakey side to it.
The flakiness was possibly just an off day. Pep’s trust in the squad a bigger concern.
