But traffic impact from a CM convoy in a city like Chennai is a predictable administrative issue. There could have been advance planning too — “if I become CM, I’ll stay closer to the office”

Flights to BLR are pricier due to UDF regardless of airline, to pay for the fancy decoration.
Also the trip further to the city has to be suckiest airport transfer in the world. It should’ve had metro 17 yrs ago.

An airport that is crumbling in front of our eyes, maintained like a bus terminus, with multiple routes being pulled out / discontinued while the other 2 airports benefit, is only going to further stall our state's growth. The capital of one of India's leading growth engine deserves an airport that speaks World Class the moment we step foot onto.
Chennai’s MAA is bursting at the seams — handling ~23M passengers but stuck with limited expansion space & urban congestion.
While BLR & HYD race ahead with new routes & world-class infra, we’re losing connectivity.
We are already behind by 10 years!! It is time we go ahead with Parandur Greenfield Airport to unlock our economic future.

@ChennaiREUpdate If you think airports are holding Chennai back then you should see New York’s 3 airports which are absolute dumps.
Overspending on airport decoration makes flights more expensive. Efficiency and convenience should be the focus.
Would be good to rethink the city’s priorities.

@PttvNewsX A CM traveling 17 km daily in Chennai was obviously going to create huge traffic issues. This should’ve been planned before taking office, not after. Announcing a house shift now for “public convenience” feels more like political optics than governance planning.
