Matthew Driscoll on the last month after taking over for Jerome Tang: "It's been absolutely miserable. I can't use another word than absolutely miserable. Every day, ulcers, not sleeping, not feeling good. "I've had an issue my whole life and when I reached out to our psychologist that did the testing on us, he said 'coach, that's just the way you're wired.' Everything about us is getting things organized and getting this right. "It's been very hard to mourn or be emotional. I asked our psychologist why I wasn't emotional and why I wasn't crying. He's one of my best friends. His daughter is my God-daughter. He asked me to do something, and I told these dudes that I was going to do it. When someone asks me to do something, that's one thing that I am, I'm consistent. "So it's been miserable from that perspective. They wouldn't know that because I pour in and pour in and pour in to the players, the staff, to the GA and the managers. It took a lot to hold it together. "But if you're a grown man and you made the decision to come to Kansas State, no matter how the outcome is or what the responsibilities are and you say 'yes,' you do it. That's just the way I was raised."
