You watch a team pull a battered 1970 Ford Mustang Grande from inside a collapsed snowy barn then move it straight into a garage for restoration. They blast the entire body and engine bay with high pressure water to strip years of thick grime then yank out the old seats and sand the filthy carpet while scrubbing every last panel. The surprising detail comes when the wrecked barn find starts gleaming bright lime green again under the shop lights after all the intense cleaning. This creates the real debate about whether pouring this much time and effort into reviving an abandoned classic delivers pure satisfaction or just leads to months of hidden repair costs and endless labor.
Would you tackle a full barn find restoration project like this or leave the old cars where they sit?

Can’t quite believe the ZX Spectrum turns 44 today! 🙏 I’m even less willing to acknowledge I’m more than a decade older than it!
On 23 April 1982, Sir Clive Sinclair unveiled a rubber-keyed, rainbow-striped 8-bit computer at the Churchill Hotel in London. It cost £125. It sold over five million units. It contributed significantly to the launch of the British IT industry.
Around twenty thousand+ games were made for it including of course Jet Set Willy, Atic Atac and my personal fave - The Way of the Exploding Fist 🤜 💥
In the middle of an AI arms race, it’s worth remembering how simple the computing experience used to be.
What was your first ZX Spectrum game?🕹️

Up next is something very special, from one half of The KLF, all the way back in 1989:
This is Jimmy Cauty - DJ Mix, Trancentral 26.08.89
Apparently recorded at a party at his home, this is the original rip and is a flowing, acidy, floaty gem. Snapshot of an era. Some cassette aesthetic.
Reminder that all mixes uploaded here today go on my Kofi for download tonight.

That was a crazy game. Four goals, a red card, refereeing as ever controversial and two more points dropped. We were so close to victory there, absolutely battered them second half.
Onwards. Five to go. Watford next up in OX4 #oufc

@DorkSirjur @soulwax This is a great find, a LOT of similarities to their 2005 Essential Mix which is one of my favourite mixes ever.

This is truly insane, and it should be front page news across America.
Denmark secretly deployed soldiers to Greenland prepared to blow up airport runways to stop a U.S. invasion.
They brought blood supplies to treat the wounded. France, Germany, Norway, and Sweden quietly coordinated against us.
This was not a drill.
This was our closest allies preparing to fight Americans.
Let that sink in. NATO allies. Countries whose soldiers have fought and died alongside ours for decades. They looked at this president and decided they had to prepare for the worst.
Fewer allies does not make America great. It makes us more isolated, more vulnerable, and it hands Russia and China exactly what they have always wanted: an America abandoned by its friends.
The American people deserve to know how badly this president has damaged our standing in the world. bbc.com/news/articles/…

This Lone Ranger Atomic Bomb ring was distributed by Kix cereal in the late 40's, for 15 cents and a mail-in box top.
It was actually a spinthariscope containing radioactive Polonium-210 (one of the most toxic substances out there).
A child would take the toy into a pitch-black room, remove the tail cap from the 'bomb', and look through a tiny lens to see flashes of light from the Polonium-210 atoms decaying into Lead-206.
