@ahonasaan Please use some nice cheddar or Swiss. I don't think this type of cheese has any actual cheese in the ingredients.

@ahonasaan @florbosagbag It’s real, our government really does have a bunch of caves that are used to store cheese. I’m not really sure why, honestly. I assume it’s a backup food supply in case there’s ever some cataclysmic disaster. Or maybe some politician just owed the dairy industry a favor.

@ahonasaan America has every cheese you could even want, and even some cheese you wouldn't want. We figured out how to put cheese in pressurized cans. In 2024, Wisconsin made over 1.5 billion kilograms of cheese, 1/4th of the US total.

@ahonasaan Yeah but they're pretty much exactly like what you're describing; individually wrapped melty cheese

@ahonasaan It’s real. The US government buys lots of milk from cattle farmers to keep production high. Cheese is a natural preservation method, and caves under Missouri have a near perfect environment for long term storage, and that’s why we have so much cheese. Years worth of cheese.

@ahonasaan @florbosagbag No it’s real. It’s not just cheese, we store groceries in limestone caves because it doesn’t require refrigeration. The trucks go in there in the caves and unload. Eggs are stored in caves too.

@ahonasaan There are many melty sliced products in usa. Most are not real cheese, though, they are made from vegetable and seed oils that are very harmful. Our food industry is fine with sickening the people; it is profitable.

@ahonasaan Yep, that’s probably what the rest of the world calls “American Cheese”. Fun fact: we make so much of if that we have special caves where we stockpile millions of pounds of this cheese. Behold! The US Government Cheese Cave!

@ahonasaan The government bought a bunch of cheese to raise and stabilize the price, but now they have more cheese than they can use up. It’s stored in caves to keep it cool so it doesn’t go bad. I think it’s sold cheap to schools for lunches and charities for the poor.
