He voted to increase university fees and the Welfare Reform Bill, backed the catastrophic Libya war, voted for the Iraq War, and opposed investigating it 14 times without ever expressing regret Worst of all, he backed Keir Starmer for leader in 2020 He will not save you, Labour

If Keir Starmer is the problem, then how is Wes Streeting, his right hand man since the election, the solution? And don't forget Shabana Mahmood whose policies are so awful they're endorsed by Badenoch, Rachel Reeves who chose to keep children in poverty instead of reversing the cut to banker's bonuses, or Yvette Cooper whose proscription of a protest group was ruled unlawful by the UK's High Court If Starmer goes, the top team should go, and Labour should have a proper reset

Hey @BBCNews , got a story for you! About 11 reform new councillors have stepped down or been expelled already! It will cost a lot to elect new ones. How about running that as a story, just for a smidgen of impartiality?

Remarkable that Jas Athwal, is turning on Starmer despite causing the first “distraction” of this parliamentary term himself. The slumlord MP who broke the licensing rules he himself introduced as council leader of Redbridge, while renting out homes overrun with vermin, mould & fire safety defects. Jas personifies why our party has become so unpopular with voters and a party that was serious about renters rights would have expelled him. If we’re talking about restoring the trust in our party, being open about this type of issue has to be front and centre.
Jas Athwal MP@Jas_Athwal

Sir Keir Starmer transformed the Labour Party into a serious, electable force, and I voted for him. As Prime Minister, he has made real contributions, and I am grateful for them. However, the country must come first. Millions of working people desperately need a focused Labour government delivering a brighter future. Yet we cannot govern effectively when we are constantly distracted by speculation, mistakes and a loss of trust. Even in places like Redbridge, where we held up better in the locals, the message from voters was clear: the Prime Minister has lost the confidence of the country. Today’s speech failed to show he can regain that trust or lead us through the huge challenges we face at home and abroad. It is therefore with deep regret that I conclude it is in the national interest for Sir Keir Starmer to step down as Prime Minister and Leader of the Labour Party. This must happen in a smooth, dignified and orderly way so the Party can choose new leadership and get back to the work people elected us to do.

The challenge for Labour is winning over both Green and Reform voters. What appeals to both groups of voters? Investment in public services and wealth taxes.

So if you suggest black people should be "melted down and used to fill potholes" you get elected a Reform councillor, but if you say "please stop killing Palestinians" you get called antisemitic and the government calls a cobra meeting. 🫠

The Prime Minister says his government has got "the big political decisions right". Let's go through them. The government chose to cut welfare so it could spend even more on weapons and war. The government chose to demonise the sick and disabled. The government chose to keep children in poverty until it was dragged kicking and screaming to finally scrap the two-child benefit cap. The government chose not to bring water into public ownership, not to tax wealth and not to implement rent controls. The government chose to arm Israel and participate in genocide. The government chose to let the US use British air bases for its war crimes in Iran. The government chose to let Palantir get its hands on our NHS. The government chose to scapegoat migrants and refugees for its own failures. Poverty, inequality and genocide. Those are the government's big decisions. And that is how this government will be remembered.

Vile statements like this have poisoned political discourse for far too long. No community should have to suffer them. Reform has shown you who they are. Believe them.

"I can a hundred percent tell you, knowing my seat as I do, that there is no prospect of the Greens taking my constituency" - David Lammy, March 2026 May 2026, the Greens win his council. I hope he is as enlightened about his trial at The Hague.
