We kicked off the SHINE-Lango project today with a successful inception meeting at Lira District Local Government. Key stakeholders, including the District Health Team and political leaders, came together to align on the way forward.

As America celebrates our 250th anniversary, we highlight U.S.–Uganda research collaboration in HIV/AIDS, TB, malaria, and the role the next generation will have in driving joint technological and scientific progress. #Freedom250

.@MinofHealthUG has also flagged off the distribution of over 1,000 more solar powered cold chain vaccine fridges and freezers funded to further strengthen immunization services across the country. We thank our partners @gavi @WHOUganda @UNICEFUganda for walking this journey with us.

Some diseases that affect people with HIV are opportunistic infections (OIs) like fungal meningitis. However, people with HIV can be attacked by diseases other than OIs, hence the need for holistic person-centred health care instead of focusing on HIV & OIs.

Congratulations on the successful pass out of 138 Community Health Extension Workers from Mbarara District and Mbarara City. Community health workers are vital in strengthening primary healthcare and promoting positive health behaviors at the grassroots. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

We partnered with the Uganda Wildlife Authority to conduct a health camp at Kibale Conservation Area in Fort Portal. The outreach provided essential HIV and general health services to staff and surrounding communities, strengthening access to care and promoting health awareness

Proud moment for us all.We have not only sustained the SANAS accreditation of Kaberamaido Hospital, but we’ve also reduced non-conformities from 16 to 7 despite the many challenges along the way.Thank you MoH in making this possible. This is truly a win for AIC-SORP.

Great news, Amuria Hospital Laboratory has successfully maintained its SANAS surveillance assessment with only 3 non-conformities a significant improvement from 6 last year.This progress reflects the team’s continued commitment to strengthening their Quality Management System.

We’re encouraged to see U.S. Embassy Kampala, led by #AmbPopp, bringing together health innovators and Ugandan leaders to strengthen our health systems. At AIC, we believe partnerships like this uniting @unlockaid, MoH & UAC are key to building sustainable solutions.
