linkedIn's algorithm runs on a flywheel that most founders have never even heard of. when people comment on your post, linkedIn pushes it to more people. those people comment too, and LinkedIn pushes it further. the cycle keeps repeating. once it starts, it compounds on itself and feeds its own distribution. generic thought leadership posts can't trigger this. nobody is commenting on "5 tips for better marketing." but lead magnet posts trigger it instantly because you're literally giving people a REASON to comment. once it clicks, 10-20k impressions PER post becomes clock work.

I've published LinkedIn posts that regularly hit triple-digit comments and tens of thousands of impressions. EVERY single one followed this same 5-step anatomy: 1. Hook with a result Lead with a specific number or credential. Not "I made something cool." More like "I booked 100+ calls using this system." The reader needs to know WHAT they get. All before they hit "see more." 2. Pry the pain Sit in the problem for a few lines. Talk about what is broken for your ICP right now. Make them feel it. The more specific the pain, the more they feel like you are talking directly to them. 3. Introduce your method Bridge from the pain into what you built. Explain the approach in two or four sentences. Not a full breakdown. Just enough so they understand the framework and trust that the resource actually solves the problem. 4. Stack the deliverables List out exactly what is inside. Templates, scripts, teardowns, real examples. The longer and more specific this list is, the higher the perceived value. People comment when they see a stack of things they actually want. 5. things i wish i could tell myself 18 months ago about posting on LinkedIn/X: 1. just posting 'value' everyday is stupid 2. NO one cares that you're a 21 y/o 3. ppl have an insatiable desire for content 4. EVERY post matters (even when ur at 0 followers) 5. you're not a 'fraud' for posting w/o results. document the journey. 6. make more lead magnets (that are actually good 7.
