@farmisonUK @FedExHelp where’s my Christmas meat? £260 of meat lying somewhere in Birmingham. Let’s hope I can find an alternative, not like an important event happening soon

A few colleagues and I will be walking 34km along the Jurassic Coast in May in support of Children with Cancer. I’ve described the route as scenic, beautiful and full of character (mini mountains 🤫) Any donations much appreciated! justgiving.com/page/aidan-jcc

Encryption matters. I want my data to be private, ESPECIALLY from the state. Lots of questions. Why? Why now? Why does the state need this? Apple rolled over. I want to know why? Do we trust the state with our newly unencrypted data? The answer is NO WAY. Leave our data alone.

@LukeMLabour Just been quoted £4,500 for a heat pump (after grants) and £11,000 for solar with a battery - unaffordable and the payback to too long. What can be done? Gas & elec is £175 a month, 2 evs charged at cheaper rates

Fundamentally, the Tories' rhetoric on gas is all just hot air. Tory Government oversaw the closure of the Rough Gas storage facility, and reduced gas storage overall. On Monday, now in opposition, the Tories are blaming this Government for the lack of storage that they allowed to happen. Labour's plan is to deliver clean, renewable, and secure energy for all, lowering bills rather than hiking them, and taking bold steps through the Clean Energy Action plan to deliver clean power by 2030.

@thameswater Good to see this has been dealt with. All blocked off now, on site team said it was extremely blocked. I would hazard a guess the attendance on the 17th dec didn’t do much, if anything.

@thameswater sewer flooding ref 00900944 reported on 14th Dec is now spilling across a public footpath that will be used by many children to get to school in the new year. No evidence of any investigation. Your guide implies the turf should be avoided for 18 days! @LukeMLabour

@thameswater In the interest of transparency, could you share photos of when the team attended? Anything attached to their incident report?

@aidankinnell Thanks, Aidan. Could you please share some videos or photos of the issue to help assess it better? Is the problem sewage-related (e.g. the presence of tissues or a bad odour)? Is it visibly coming out from the manhole cover, or is it standing water in the track? - Rianna

@thameswater Photos on my first post. It was flowing out. The issue is sewage, it smells of bath water in the morning and boys changing room by the evening. And it’s a sewage location. Tonight it is steaming

@IamTomWalker Come join me on an ultra walk. You were in my ears for hundreds of km of training for a charity 100km ultra walk supporting the good mental health of school children

@wesstreeting @LukeMLabour I went private as I couldn’t wait and was covered. A friend is still waiting for a less invasive treatment that they could self administer for a similar health issue.

Welcome news today that waiting lists have fallen. Since we ended the strikes, we have been ramping up delivery of an extra 40,000 extra appointments every week. With the investment in the Budget, plus the reforms announced yesterday, we will get patients treated faster.

@LukeMLabour Just wondering, in instances like this are MPs from all parties invited to join the collective letter? Are there many MPs that declined to be included?

In my first PMQ, I called for action to clamp down on the scandalously poor management services & rip-off charges for leaseholders Now I’ve joined 34 other Labour MPs to call on the country’s largest managing agent, FirstPort, to come to Parliament & answer for their actions

@bphillipsonMP Pay up then the system has a chance to work. Schools can demonstrate that with the right support in place that good outcomes can be achieved. Squeezing the funding only damages the system.

We've inherited a 'lose, lose, lose' SEND system in the Tories’ own words. I want to restore parents’ confidence after over a decade of broken promises. There's no quick fix, but we're getting on with the hard work of reform. There's light at the end of the tunnel with Labour.

@LukeMLabour Thank you for listening. Will keep following with interest. Particularly the trade off between national government and local authorities.

🧵 The NAO’s report on the SEND system is deeply concerning. After 14 years of inaction, the system is financially unsustainable and failing our children. Families & children with special educational needs deserve better support

@LukeMLabour @JAGUKGROUP How will the funding work for free breakfast clubs? Will it be like school lunches where the funding doesn’t really cover the cost

Fantastic to visit @JAGUKGROUP recently & see their afterschool club in action at Fairfields Primary School-aged childcare has been overlooked for far too long. Labour’s recent pledge to introduce free breakfast clubs is a vital step towards giving #EveryChildEveryOpportunity

@BasGazette @LukeMLabour a lot of the problems are with the local authority. Reformed DofE does little if LA reforms are not forced through. Some brilliant Senco in your constituency who can direct you to the issues

So many parents have raised their struggles to get their child’s special educational needs or disabilities recognised - let alone get the support they’re legally entitled to I asked the Education Secretary to outline the action this gov is taking to fix this broken system 👇

@LukeMLabour @ClimateAPPG @TheHouseMag Having just been in France I was amazed by the scale of their ev charging network, each service station had 10-16 chargers all at a cheaper price compared to the UK. Also interested how on prem home solutions can be made affordable

@DanielKebedeNEU Focus on the abysmal maternity pay…..workload and family life balance is a separate issue and that depends on the culture & leadership of the school

This. And even if new mums don't leave teaching altogether, they will often go part-time to work full-time as the workloads make teaching incompatible with family life.
branwen jeffreys@branwenjeffreys

Teachers get 4 weeks on full pay on maternity leave, followed by 2 at 90% before dropping to half pay. Most supermarkets we looked at offer 26 weeks full pay - except Lidl which has just moved to 28 weeks full pay bbc.com/news/articles/…
