@YusufMosobalaje @channelstv She may not know genuinely. Being a journalist doesn't mean one knows everything like they behave to do. That's why media houses should employ specialists in fields like Political Economics and others to anchor relevant programs for robust discussions.

@channelstv I think bukola is purposely doing this, because she can't say she doesn't know the difference between recurrent and capital expenditures. Recurrent expenditure is the government’s day-to-day running cost , salaries, allowances, maintenance, operations.

Bukola: How come the presidential Airfleet gets priority funding and ministries as critical as defence do not get their funding? Tope Fasua: Mentioning spending for the ministry of defence vs the presidential air fleet is comparing apples and oranges. @Salahmardooh @tokunbo_wahab @0xYinka Which abroad do you just enter into a bank to use their toilet? Some eateries and retail stores do not even have toilets for their customers, except they're in a mall. We just like to talk about abroad as if everything is magical there. Every citizen should just be responsible.

Government should make it mandatory for them…… I can’t understand why filling stations, banks and fuel stations are not open for public When you travel outside this country all this places are open for public’s Or government should mandate it for them Build extra for public alone

As part of our sustained efforts to eliminate open defecation and improve public sanitation across Lagos State, we currently have 1,710 functioning public toilets strategically located across the state for residents and visitors. However, government cannot do this alone. We are encouraging businesses such as filling stations, banks, eateries, and other public-facing facilities to make their restrooms accessible to the public where possible. This collaborative approach will significantly complement government efforts and expand access to sanitation facilities across the state. At the same time, we continue to enforce environmental sanitation laws. Individuals caught engaging in open defecation are being arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law. These measures are necessary to protect public health, preserve dignity, and maintain a cleaner environment for all. Access to sanitation is a shared responsibility. While government continues to expand infrastructure, residents and businesses must also play their part in ensuring Lagos remains clean, safe, and habitable. #CleanerLagos #GreaterLagos

@AyoOyalowo Your second observation was the reason why I wondered how some people thought Dangote was stupid to have made that huge investment in the refinery, even with support from international banks. I concluded immediately that oil has got nowhere to go any time soon.

The standoff at the Strait of Hormuz is showing us a few things. According to available records, It provides the only sea passage from the Persian Gulf to the open ocean and is one of the world's most strategically important choke points. Records said between 2023–2025, 20% of the world's liquefied natural gas (LNG) and 25% of seaborne oil trade passed through the strait annually. So the 2 questions I have is this. If the strait provides passage for just 20-25% of seaborne oil trade, why has it impacted international oil trade and prices this badly? Secondly, after all the noise of clean energy and how the world is leaving crude oil for cleaner energy, why is everyone complaining about the inability to move crude oil? Or are we just being deceived? Some smart Alec once said “after all said and done, crude oil remains the king”. Is the someone right after all?

A GenZ was recently hired. Day two. She messages boss at 9.15 am saying "I will be working from home today." Boss wanted to know if everything was okay. She replied "My cook came late. I didn't feel like eating outside. So I am staying in." Boss just stared at the screen. No fever. No crisis. Just vibes and breakfast. That's when boss realised GenZ aren't unprofessional. They are just running on a completely different operating system. We used to think for hours before giving a silly excuse. GenZ says the truth without blinking. And honestly, I kind of admire it. What about you? How would you react if this happened to you?

Apparently, Daily Mail sent a Reporter to Anthony Joshua’s accident scene. Our people can be seen - • Flouting speed limit • Overtaking & undertaking dangerously • Crossing the road instead of using a bridge • Driving through one-way The Police has just alleged in court that the driver was driving without a valid licence. Overall, we like to blame the government for everything but we Nigerians need to search ourselves and do better as a people. Video source - @DailyMail

On Reddit: "Hey guys. I recently relocated back to Nigeria. My plan was originally Kenya but I gave in and listened to my Dad. I’m in Lagos at the moment and really can’t get over how ridiculously filthy Lagos is. To the point it doesn’t even touch the average lagosian. There’s normality now when it comes to the filth and I can’t get over it. Okay. Steal the nations money, don’t invest in key infrastructure, don’t give people access to basic amenities. But for Gods sake, can the area at least be clean? No public bins anywhere in site, no attempts at basic sanitation. No cleaning up of roads, pavements. Just complete and utter filth. I haven’t been back to nigeria since I was 15 and I landed in Ikoyi. I was told this alongside VI, B.I were one of the poshest most expensive parts but I found everywhere absolutely filthy. I was living in what was meant to be one of the wealthiest estates in Ikoyi and it was dirty. The island is filthy. I’m now on the mainland and I visited my auntie in Ebutte Meta and couldn’t believe my eyes. Nigerians. You deserve so much better than this. Mind you I took a trip to neighbouring Benin and it is 100000000 times cleaner. There are public bins everywhere and moreover people don’t litter anyhow. There is a whole ministry/gov department dedicated to sanitation and waste what are they doing? I’m of the right mind to start a public social media campaign at this point and start writing to the ministry and collecting signatures because WHAT???? Guys. This isn’t a normal way to live."

In the wake of the ongoing Islamophobia, I decided to launch a challenge I dubbed #AllahuAkbar revolution on TikTok, so they can hear more of it. To my surprise, it became a larger trend than I anticipated. It’s been two days, and there’s been over 5000 entries, that’s as far as I can count. Almost a million views, 200,000+ direct engagements, and much more. If anything, I’ve learned that you can’t stop Muslims. So, here it is on X where Islamophobes thought they rule: #AllahuAkbar

I will not ask for Christmas food and will not wish my Christian neighbour or friends "Merry Christmas" because it is against my faith. They will understand and respect that. However, if my Christian neighbour or friend is kind enough to offer me food willingly any day of the year including food made on Christmas day, I will gratefully and graciously accept it, thank them and eat. I will pray that Allah be kind to them as they are kind to me.

@Ihunanya_chi In Islam, there's a difference prayer (dua'u) and worship (salat) both referred to as prayer in English. In fact, there is prayer for every action, before and after: eating, sleep, bathe, going out, coming in etc. But for worship, there are set rules from the one who we worship.

Do you know that in Christianity, you can pray to God facing any direction? You can pray to Him even while you’re naked in your room. You can pray while you’re on the toilet, while you’re walking, or even while you’re eating. You can lie on your bed and talk to God. You can even speak to Him silently in your heart, He still hears you. And you can pray to Him in any language you understand. Our God isn’t a tyrant with a long list of rules, all He looks at is the heart and the motive.

@the_davidatta In the 80s and 90s, Gideon Intl was giving Bible to every Muslim sch child every year. The theme was christ for all by the year 2000. We collected and used it to become better Muslims. They've seen another opportunity. It's a biz venture, and they will fail again.

Christian youths are running mad on Twitter and their elders are either asleep or too busy counting tithes and offerings. No pastor, bishop or prophet can call them to order... To be fair, Femi Lazarus and Wale Adefarasin tried but Mathew Ashimolowo came and poured petrol on the fire that they were wisely trying to kill and the madness continued... CAN... PFN...? 😴😴😴😴😴 This is the same way that SE elders let their youths run riot until they ran them out of town. Even if Muslims are as bad as some of you claim when did we start fighting against flesh and blood? Has Enenche ever prayed for good Muslims to overcome the bandits? Has Oyedepo ever reached out to good Muslims to help them defeat the terrorists? Do you know that some born-again Christians are pure blooded Fulani? Well, if you remain dumb, those who have not bowed to the Baal called America will speak... Trump and his retinue of false prophets have declared Muslims as the enemy and you who were raised by Muslim aunties and uncles are nodding your heads like zombies... Is it their money or friendship that you're scared of losing? At the end of the day, those who were silent in the day of need will be remembered for the instigators or cowards that they were... But remember, those whose light was hidden under a bushel are worse than those who had no light at all... Selah.
