Experimenting with environment styles in my off-axis projection demo. These are Gaussian splats rendered in the browser, switching via keyboard. -> Blender basic layout -> World Labs (chisel) -> three.js / Spark 2.0 -> Mediapipe (face-tracking)

Thank you! The main advice I’d give is to make sure you always keep in mind that you get out what you put in. So in other words, you will have to put in a ton of hours to make something awesome, but it will all be worth it because your hard work will pay off eventually! Good luck in your future endeavors and definitely post some videos of the awesome things you make so I can see them!

@NathieVR They seem pretty cool overall. Definitely thicc bois, but it's a really good starting place! I hope they push Apple and Google to release something sooner rather than later so we can really get the thin and light AR glasses race going!

The Meta Ray-Ban display glasses together with the neural wristband will be available on September 30 for $799 in black and sand. Are you getting one?

I’m a little late to the party, but the new visionOS widgets are awesome! My incredibly blank walls in my room were perfect to test it out on, so I had plenty of space to drop every widget I could imagine. My favorites were the panoramic images and music widgets! #VisionPro #visionOS26 #AR

I 100% agree. An Apple Watch makes it a lot better than a phone with the taps when you need to turn, but there's still another step of convenience that glasses would have. I honestly used to be disappointed by the tiny FOVs of the glasses prototypes, but at this point I'd definitely take a small FOV if that meant a pair of light/convenient glasses with a crisp display

@SadlyItsBradley The use case I'm most interested in is on-foot navigation. I detest having to crane my neck down at a phone and losing view of what's in front of me. Previewing notifications without taking my phone out of my pocket would also be very useful. Smartwatch displays are too small.

It’s kinda crazy how much the “XR industry” is trying to “force” me to like smartglasses products So much hype around them. Hundreds of startups making them. All are the same pitch But holy shit they’re so boring after you indoctrinated yourself to the full HMD lifestyle
