Now that I have officially accepted the final job offer, I can announce that I have accepted the lead position here at the NWS Mobile office! I'm not going anywhere new, but it's a nice step up the career ladder. I look forward to continuing to serve as a lead met at my office!

For the love of God, chase for the passion, not the clout and desire for everyone to like you. You will not succeed or be happy if you continuously worry about the attention from others in the weather community. Nobody is better than anybody else on here. If all you are worried about is being the best chaser, just remember the stuff we chase destroys property and kills people. Quit being so damn ignorant. This is exactly why chasers are a joke in the public eye. Focus on you and what you enjoy doing. This is where you'll find happiness! Ted talk over.

My professional opinion is seeing everyone for who they are, and instead of coming in here and asking this, just don't.

To me, everyone is equal. Man, Woman, Gay, Trans, Weather-obsessed, trains-galore, blue collar, white collar. Everyone can achieve and do great things; I believe it's incorrect to say otherwise.

I’m going to be completely honest and say I have no idea what happened about the whole women thing in meteorology. Here’s my question, who ever said this passion is restricted to males? I think it’s neat that women find meteorology cool. In fact, I encourage it. #wxtwitter
