@PareschiNikolas @Rainmaker1973 It's not Turf! Turfs are grass sliced from the surface. These are peat 'pipes' or bricks that are left to dry and then burned as logs. The process releases a lot of Carbons etc that have been trapped for millions of years.

George McDonald cutting turf for burning in his home fire. He's been doing this since the mid 1970s using a special spade that is at least 100 years old. Once dry, the peat bricks will be burnt to keep the home warm. [📹 Awesome Earthmovers] twitter.com/tuidelescriban…

Did Conor Daly foul the ball here? He didn't catch it after throwing it up slightly Other than being weird, is it a foul?

Roscommon made to pay for their possession based approach today. They attempted to hold the ball for the final shot against Cork, only to give away a cheap free and the winning score up the other end.

@BLUENOSEBOB1878 My Dad Sean how is 83 yrs old next month. We nearly lost him at Christmas and now he lives in a Nursing Home. Dementia has already taken most of him but sometimes he just looks at you, give a little smile and I know a little bit of him is still there x

Listen up people, we don't need Fathers Day to remember & pay tribute to our Fathers. We think about them everyday. Let's get a boss thread going, upload them photos. I'll start with my Father George who passed in 1986. Get them pictures on this thread people 👍

@ainm My mom spoke it, even after we came to America she used to count in Gaelic for a few years. She said she got extra credit in school for doing her work in Gaelic. I hired a tutor in college to study it but quickly quit, I had a full course load and just didn't have the bandwidth.

@AlexandraDixon There would be a Gaeltacht area close to Geesala where it’s spoken in pockets. Everyone would have a few words but few speak it fluently. It’s still compulsory to learn it in school until you finish High School but largely ineffective in reviving it. Learn on Duolingo.
