Don't Let FOMO Own You: My Journey of Stepping Back to Leap Forward I’m writing this straight from the heart because I’m sure there are people out there who feel exactly the same way FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). I can say this loudly: It exists in every single area of life. Primary school, middle school, high school, professional life, making money, relationships, marriage, kids, travel... in the midst of all these "serious" things, creating content might seem insignificant. But content creation, marketing, earning a living it’s all part of it. I want to tell you about my own process. The Silence and the Foundation I’ve been silent for almost a month. I haven't been churning out content because I’ve been busy building things in my actual life. For instance, through content creation, I managed to buy a house in Istanbul something I previously said I’d never do. But the opportunity came, I took it, and I moved. It’s been an incredibly grueling process, and I’m still setting the place up. At the same time, I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole of Artificial Intelligence I’m hanging out as a "Vibecoder" now. I’m still learning, but the other day, I designed a page... and oh my god, I have no idea how I did it! I can’t believe it myself. It was a massive step for me. And yes, the buttons actually work.I built a page with working buttons! The Pivot After a 15-year career, I walked away from everything five years ago to enter this ecosystem. I was in marketing. Now, I’ve put those 5 years to the side too. For the last 5 months, I’ve been a full-time content creator. Bingo. So, what am I doing now? I’m pausing those five months and learning to code. We don’t always have time for everything at once. I also have this incredible community I built: @Letsconnectco We have amazing partners, brilliant women, and highly equipped people, alongside newcomers eager to learn. I haven't abandoned you.I just can’t keep up with everything right this second. But think of it this way: if your foundation is solid, you can always pick up exactly where you left off. Building Something That Lasts This morning I woke up to a few "Good morning" messages in my community. It made me so happy because it proved I built something real. What I built didn’t collapse; it’s still standing. I can build upon it. I could produce content tomorrow, but today, I need to finish coding. I’m preparing for @colosseum and I think there are two weeks left. In two weeks, I might have a product that I coded myself. @0xJustConnect This time, I’ll take that product, grow it with my community, and create something beneficial for everyone. I’ll merge my product with my community, generate new content, and my already successful account will truly take flight. The Human Element I haven’t lost anything. The "pauses" in our lives are often what develop and grow us. Last night at 2:00 AM, I was literally fighting with Claude accusing it of sabotaging my project. Yes, I was crying, lol. This morning, I remembered that it’s just an AI that speaks my language. That’s it. Sometimes, you just need to act a little crazy, have a cry, and then get back to where you left off. The Reality Check I’m a marketer, and I haven’t "worked" in a traditional sense for a while. What do you think about that? If I don’t work, I don’t make money. However, during this time "off," I didn’t lose my skills. I didn’t forget what I know. Now, I’m going to send 2 or 3 messages, take 1 or 2 meetings... there are projects wanting to join us for @IstanbulBlockWk and we’ll organize events for them. That’s how it goes. Don’t let FOMO take control of you. Learn to manage it instead.
