#MyModiStory Happy 75th Birthday to our beloved Prime Minister @narendramodi ji. 🇮🇳💐🪷 Since everyone's sharing their anecdotes with him, I, too, will go with the trend. March 2015. I was a postdoctoral scientist in Germany. My wife and I received a letter from our Hamburg Consulate, inviting young Indians to visit Hannover City Hall to meet our PM in person. That was when the lion of Make in India was to roar for the first time at Hannover Messe (Visited that too!). Some 150 turned up from all over Germany. The Consulate and Hannover-based students' association segregated us thoughtfully into groups of master's students, PhD scholars, and postdocs. PM arrived, and the crowd roared his name! The mayor of Hannover was pleasantly surprised and happy at the reception the PM received. PM gave 5-10 minutes to each group, smiling, shaking hands and patting backs. My post-doc group was the last to be visited. Being a tad introverted, I was more keen to listen to what he had to say that I forgot to shake hands (others with presence of mind, even touched his feet!). He had to assuringly say this to us (from what I vividly remember) in those 5-10 mins: "भारत बड़ी तेज़ी से उभरने वाला है, कई दरवाज़े जो अभी तक बंद थे वो खुलने वाले है. भारत के दरवाज़े आप जैसे वैज्ञानिकों के लिए हमेशा खुले है. आइये देश की तरक्की का हिस्सा बनिए, और जब तक यहाँ है, हम आपके साथ हैं!" Every word lived. Tweeting this today from Mumbai. Vande Mataram!

16/16 TKF is like a new milestone on a newly laid highway to Bharatiya cultural renaissance. It is the beginning of Jnana Yoga in India's content generation. Be rest assured, all this is happening at the right juncture in world history.

At a time when the entire nation is marking the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, I am glad to share that his grand statue, made of granite, will be installed at India Gate. This would be a symbol of India’s indebtedness to him.

Armed forces are like springs that are most often coiled for action. But they also need to decompress at times in order to be most effective. What a high to see these bravehearts have fun even while entertaining us! And a bonus is that it’s a retro song from my youth..👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Where do the sarcomeres in heart muscle cells come from? Our data support Howard Holtzer's original proposal that stress fibers serve as the "templates" for newly assembling sarcomeres. This gif shows a colorized version of his 1984 model. elifesciences.org/articles/42144

I salute the #IndianAirForce for its daring operations. It is a testimony to the IAF’s unparalleled strike capabilities. The new India under Shri. @narendramodi ji believes in its forces, & makes no compromise on terrorism & national security.
