Oh look it’s @TNLUK gaslighting their customers that “a small number” are getting error messages. Rubbish, your app and website are broken, end of.

As a parent of a neurodivergent child, I have witnessed first-hand how systems fail to understand her needs not because she is disabled, but because her way of thinking does not fit the norm. She deserves protection and dignity without needing to be labelled as impaired.

The media, nearly every politician & our government have 0 idea what autism is. They forget autistic people are probably the most discriminated against in the UK. They forget society makes autism a hard disability to live with. Autism people pay to just exist.

The insistence that autism and ADHD are 'overdiagnosed' is incredibly sinister when you consider the fact that entire populations - women, people of colour - have historically been denied access to those diagnoses and the increase in numbers is partly due to making up that gap.

One thing that people forget with many autistic people is the no telephone rule. If you wish to include autistic people you need to include an easy access alternative, like WhatsApp. Why? Think non-verbal & situational mute.

@tes @bphillipsonMP I have no problem being accountable and available for parents if they have questions or concerns however what causes stress and is completely unnecessary is the manner in which some parents choose to speak to us as teachers. I haven’t slept since Friday due to a parent email :(

@GMB The comments on this thread just show how Ableist people are, how intolerant of Autism they are. It’s horrendous what the staff said and how they treated her, deserves the police being called but then, they are no better as we’ve learned. I also worked retail, BS excuse for £2.

I am shocked, saddened and disgusted by what I have read tonight. On multiple levels. I don’t know what to say, probably not much I am permitted to say publicly without getting in trouble. My conscience and heart would not rest if I did not at least say something.
