The most effective way to make politicians work for you is by voting them out when they underperform. Power only listens when it fears consequences. If you want better leadership, the standard has to be - no performance, no second term. This is why Tinubu must go.

You see how Datamax was able to pay out GT dividends without any major issues? I don’t expect the same story for Veritas! The people at Veritas are built different, they may prove me wrong sha, but I am sticking to my past experience.

I have done best in the obidient movement on the plateau since 2023 general elections. In the ADC I also mobilized Obidients into the ADC, actively took party in the formation of the party structure and emerged as the state woman leader. Right now, I must take a decision for me. I wish Nigeria the best of luck. I feel bad that Tinubu is coming back without much struggle

Politics is not what I am known for. I am an authority when it comes to relationships or marriages. But political decisions or choices affect leadership. And when leadership is poor, men and women are less interested in getting married and raising a family. Or some would use it as an excuse to steal, harm others or go into fraud. I have looked at all the presidential candidates that we have today, and I see that potential in the persons of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso. I won't always discuss politics because I don't like it, and it creates enemies unnecessarily. But I have seen a high level of poverty and shock in the numbers of persons that have been begging for money to survive from close families and friends. And I know it's because of our economy. An economy led by President Tinubu. I have seen wives lose their husbands in a large scale like never seen before due to insecurity. I have seen mothers and wives decide to prostitute themselves because they have to feed their children. I have seen parents enable their children to go into fraud and prostitution because of our harsh economy. I cannot continue to teach people on how to maintain a healthy relationship or marriage, while their pockets cannot sustain it and their children are hungry. I want to promote someone that gives hope to the ordinary Nigerians and has a track record. Do not be distracted by my political posts in recent times. I am doing it because I am concerned with our future. The suffering is too much for a country as rich as Nigeria. And we have leaders who do not show empathy. Rather, they politicize the level of insecurity and massive corruption as a political witch-hunt. Greed and quest for power is the bane. Poverty weaponization is the catalyst. Religion and tribe are the result. You young Nigerians must see these things for what they are. Your mates in countries where they have elected good politicians are getting married very early and raising their families. But you're still begging for recharge card, doing yahoo and olosho on tik tok and IG. This is not the life that was promised to you by these greedy politicians. Take back your country. End.

This text disregards the enormous work PO has put in up to this point, and all for what? Because you suppose you can do better or have better ideas? What exactly is the idea or suggestion you suppose PO should adopt to work around the system? Deputise someone? You want his popularity to bring someone else to power when he'd be held responsible tomorrow? So that he would be used as VP, where they can attempt to soil his credibility & image. Besides, no one is talking about a southerner running for the presidency in 2031. Why is the same presidency being contested by a northerner in 2027?

I think that this is something anyone who knows Nigerian politicians should have anticipated. Making Nigeria work will be a difficult task and to succeed you must find ways of dealing with all the roadblocks to progress that will be put by those who benefit from the current rotten system. Starting with getting a ticket. So perhaps this is your first real test. If you cannot find a way around the system and create a platform that works, then why should people trust that you will be able to govern Nigeria and make very difficult changes (all of which will be fiercely and violently opposed by the parasites currently sucking the life out of Nigeria). Goodwill alone will not work. Being nice will not work. This is why those of us watching could predict this outcome from the day you decided to partner with the very people you once accused of destroying the country. Did you think the people who you know benefit from Nigeria being the way it is would just let you have a platform with which you will snatch stolen food from their mouths? In the famous words of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, if you ride the tiger, you will end up in its belly. Nigeria is very difficult and it is bold even just to try. But you cannot assume you will do this by partnering with people whose very existence relies on the broken system. You still have the chance to go back and build the platform that millions of Nigerians gave you, one where you are not dependent on the whims of the very people you have so loudly condemned. You still have support among millions of Nigerians. This is not something you can rush. Because whatever they did to ADC they can do to NDC. In the end, as many of us fear, being a third (popular) candidate and splitting the votes has the potential of guaranteeing an even bigger win for the incumbent who currently has a stable political party, and the resources and will to stifle opposition. Either completely distinguish yourself from the rest and prepare to fight, or fully join them and play their game until you can find a way from within (highly unlikely but not impossible). You cannot have one hand on the table of dysfunction and hope that those who sit on that table with nowhere else to go will play fair and help you dismantle the table.

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

I think Man Utd should suspend the desire to appoint a substantive manager until further notice. It should enhance Carrick's interim manager terms, back him in the transfer window, and give him the job in the new season if he continues to do well. No point changing a winning team so far. A lot of things are going well for Carrick and the club. Why risk appointing a new manager who may be unconnected to the club as much as Carrick is, might disrupt the team, and may not have the advantages Carrick has?

Then at UBA a colleague in sales got married to a lady in operations. No drama from HR. Nobody was asked to resign. Nobody lost their job. The only decision management made was simple. The husband was transferred to another branch within the same city. I respected that. If you understand how banking works, especially in operations, people spend almost their entire day at work. It is the same faces, the same pressure, the same environment, every single day. It is only natural that people will form real connections in that space. So when marriage happens banks should not force one person to resign. I have seen many women bankers in their early to mid-thirties who are not married. Not because they do not want to be, but because work takes most of their time and energy. There is little room to meet people outside that environment. In many cases, they end up marrying customers or people they meet through work. It is not easy to find love outside work.

I think that people who say the NGX is overvalued miss the point. With retail investors driving the market as is, and financial literacy, awareness and access to the stock market continue to improve, the question should be just how much liquidity retail investors can still bring into the market.

Retail investors are no longer spectators — we are now pulling serious weight on the NGX! 🚀 According to the NGX Domestic and Foreign Portfolio Participation report, domestic retail investors — excluding PFAs and HNIs — traded about ₦1.45 trillion between January and March 2026 alone. Now, compare that with ₦678 billion for the whole of 2025. That means retail activity in just three months of 2026 is already about 2.15x the entire 2025 figure. The numbers are loud! 🔥 This is one major reason the market has remained strong. Domestic investors are taking fuller control, with domestic participation now around 86% compared to foreign participation. So, if you are still sitting on the fence, this is your gentle reminder: make a decision, stick with strong stocks, buy with discipline, and keep building long-term wealth. Big cheers to our 7,000+ members on the Get Finance & Investment Tips platform. We are learning, investing, and growing together. 🚀

If Peter Obi was still in the Labour Party today, Apapa, Abure and other masquerades will still be on TV every fortnight claiming to be the true leaders of the Party while court injunctions would be flying about like helicopters.
