The deceased had reportedly drowned in a pond and was shifted to the hospital for post-mortem. Following an inquiry, Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha suspended the hospital superintendent, two duty doctors, and a mortuary staffer over alleged negligence.

#Telangana: Dog eating a dead body in hospital A disturbing video has surfaced from the Jadcherla Government Area Hospital in Mahabubnagar district, showing stray dogs tearing at a body kept inside the mortuary, triggering outrage and official action. According to preliminary information, the deceased, identified as Bhimesh from Nagasala village in Jadcherla mandal, had allegedly drowned in a pond. After the body was recovered, police shifted it to the government hospital for post-mortem. In the video that is now circulating, the body appears to have been left unattended inside the mortuary, where dogs entered and mauled it. The footage has raised serious questions about mortuary management and basic safeguards in government hospitals. Sources indicated that the body was not placed properly on a stretcher and that refrigeration facilities were either unavailable or non-functional. Reacting to the incident, Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha expressed anger and ordered an immediate inquiry. On his instructions, Medical Services Council Commissioner Dr Ajay Kumar visited the hospital and conducted a probe, gathering statements from the deceased’s family members, police, eyewitnesses, doctors and hospital staff. Following the inquiry, the hospital superintendent Dr Chandrakala, duty RMO Dr Harinath, duty medical officer Munisha and mortuary supporting staff member Ravi Prakash were suspended for alleged negligence. Commissioner Ajay Kumar stated that strict action would be taken to prevent such incidents from recurring.
