@ToppersSnr At the end of the day I want the development of stronger future generations. As someone who offers private coaching and an academy, spent three months working on fundamentals of batting, this article is lazy. ECB chooses what content is delivered. That’s what needs looking at.

@ajclements39 Compared to some years ago there are many new ‘local’ academies or local coaches now available to pay to become part of. Just hope the info being offered is sound and worthwhile.

This tweet won’t be popular but I have seen it for some years. Extremely poor amateur club coaches getting qualified at L2 & L3. There was a time some years ago ECB were desperate to get people qualified. Taken from The Times: Steve James ex Glamorgan & England Opening Bat.

@ToppersSnr I try my best to get all players to reach their potential, and if they’re good enough they progress through the pathway. If they’re being picked up by counties then they’re clearly good enough at that level. If there’s an issue, the message from the top clearly isn’t right.

@ToppersSnr I take issue with this as a Level 3 Cricket Coach. I never played county cricket growing up, but I’ve worked hard to get where I am now. I’ve worked alongside good coaches who have gone down similar routes to me. This stems from the top and trickles down.
