@BillAckman @davidmdraiman Grooming is the manipulative behavior upon a victim that leads to sexual abuse. It is not synonymous with rape. It's like the difference between first- and second-degree murder. They're both murders. Not all rapes involve grooming. Some are opportunistic.

Why is the convention to refer to the rape of children in Britain as ‘grooming’? Grooming is what you do to improve the appearance of your horse or dog. We should not use a euphemism to describe the most vile and evil acts because it normalizes them, and allows one to think they are acceptable in society. Words matter. We need to call out evil in the starkest possible terms and take every necessary step to rid the world of it. Let’s not talk about grooming. These are pedophiles gang raping young girls. We need to understand this viscerally so it tears at our humanity and causes us all to lose sleep. Pretend it is your daughter. That will motivate us all to act.

My dear brother Wayne passed away peacefully last night from a stroke. I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to visit him in the hospital before he passed. Wayne brought so much light, laughter, and love to everyone who knew him, especially me. He was the ultimate optimist and was loved by everyone. I'm sure I speak on behalf of every one of us siblings when I state that we were fortunate to have Wayne as a brother. Had a great time in Winnipeg tonight. We were stranded in Montreal last night after coming from Moncton. Today we flew from Montreal to Winnipeg and weren’t able to touch down because of the weather. Diverted to Regina to refuel and give it another try at landing in Winnipeg. Arrived with just enough time for the crew to do their magic and for the band to step out onto the stage. Ready to do it all again tomorrow (minus the traveling) for our 2nd show in Winnipeg…which just happens to be my birthday as well as NYE. Thanks @AirCanada for getting us to @YWGairport safely.
