@SwissKnifeInv Great write up on Meli! Too many people compare the stock price to ATH and people forget the valuation. At 50x it ain’t cheap

I own $MELI. Week 5 buy. I believe in the flywheel. And I think the valuation might be pricing in a decade of execution that hasn’t happened yet. So let me build the case against myself. Net income fell 16% while revenue grew 49%. Bulls call that intentional reinvestment. Bezos-style sacrifice. Maybe. But that framing requires you to believe every dollar of margin compression is strategic. That none of it is competitive response. Competition in LatAm e-commerce and fintech is accelerating. Shopee subsidized its way into Brazil. Nubank has 100 million customers and zero need for Mercado Pago. Local banks aren’t sleeping. When margins compress, there are two explanations. You’re investing. Or you’re defending. The P&L looks identical in both scenarios. The difference shows up three years from now. The valuation math doesn’t forgive mistakes. $MELI trades at roughly 50x earnings. The market is pricing what MELI becomes. Amazon plus Nubank plus Shopify plus Google Ads. All of Latin America. All compounding simultaneously. That’s a lot of things that have to go right. If margins settle 200 basis points lower than bulls assume, the earnings power in year 5 looks materially different. At 50x, you’re not buying a margin of safety. You’re buying a margin of perfection. The shipping economics might be permanent. They bought GMV growth by lowering free shipping thresholds. The consumer now expects it. Raising the threshold back means choosing between protecting margin and protecting market share. Logistics cost per order fell 17% this quarter. The flywheel is working. But efficiency gains have limits. The shipping subsidy scales with volume. The efficiency gains don’t. That gap is structural. The credit book is where I get quiet at night. Credit grew 87% to $14.6B. The data moat on LatAm consumer creditworthiness is real. But this book hasn’t been tested through a real regional downturn at this scale. Loss rates are provisioned against benign conditions. MELI doesn’t fund this book with deposits. They fund it at wholesale rates. When a credit event hits, loss rates and funding costs move in the same direction at the same time. That’s not a moat. That’s a leveraged bet on LatAm macro stability. The sum-of-the-parts bull case is also the concentration risk. Each vertical has a specialist competitor who only needs to win one lane. Nubank doesn’t need to beat MELI in shipping. They just need to beat Mercado Pago in financial services. MELI is playing defense across six verticals in six countries. Every vertical that underperforms cracks the narrative. The stock is priced for the narrative. The narrative requires six simultaneous wins. So why am I still long? Because being right about the risks doesn’t mean the stock goes down tomorrow. The flywheel is real. The runway is real. The compounding is real. But there’s a version of this story where MELI compounds its business at 20% annually for a decade and the stock goes nowhere. Because you paid 50x for a business that executed perfectly and the multiple contracted to 25x as it matured. That’s not a disaster. That’s just math on expensive entry points. I own it because the business deserves to be in the portfolio. I size it accordingly because at 50x, mistakes aren’t cheap. The bull case gets written every quarter after a print like this. Someone has to write the other one. $MELI

Agreed high-level directionally, $FLNC compelling at $3B valuation post-earnings after taking a closer look. Very rare to see a US energy player that small get 2 direct Hyperscaler deals... The $5.6B+ backlog derisks the company growth, not including new hyperscalers backlog like $GOOGL or $MSFT. The hyperscaler deals were framework agreements, which are likely to convert "soon" Q3 this year, and aren't included in numbers. Once that's released it's major positive catalyst, similar to qualification -> volume ramp in semi players. Citi Analyst: "The possibility of a hyperscaler order will likely overshadow everything else in the quarter. We expect a positive reaction to the announcement" I'm going to go ahead and guess they'll likely rerated once they announce their hyperscaler orders maybe anytime in the next 3 months so I jumped on the boat as a short term catalyst trade. (not just 1 but 2) Also, if they hit ~$288M net income off gross-margin expansion ($6B revenue, 13.0% gross margins) from their software segment expansion, ~11.6x fwd p/e for 2027. The current stock price is -50% Feb's prices despite hyperscalers + backlog de-risking the company looks like a great entry point to me (NFA).

Just listened to the earnings call from $FLNC and decided to add to my position at $16.67. The earnings were spectacular in my opinion. Yes, they missed revenues due to a delayed shipment of $80 million, but the backlog keeps rising and Fluence management is confident they can deliver. 50% of the backlog comes from new customers and the main part of this backlog is for datacenter purposes. The datacenter backlog is around 12 GW, with the major part of this connected to 2 hyperscalers. To give you an idea, Fluence now have around 22GW deployed or contracted globally. So, this is a major deal. They announced 2 MSA's with major hyperscalers and are expecting a first order in Q3 already. They also said that they would speed up delivery for these hyperscalers and are expecting deliveries within a year. So, we should see first revenues from these deals in 2027. They also explained the heavy selection process for these hyperscalers. Apparently 26 companies were notified, but due to the difficult technical specifications most of the companies could not fit the standards. The main reason they were able to agree these MSA's was due to the fact that their technology is already proven. He spoke about the Fluence lab, so I suppose these Hyperscalers visited the lab and approved. The main focus remains on top-line growth. There were some questions about the high OPEX costs in percentage of revenues but Fluence want to control these by growing revenues instead of lowering costs. Happy to have started a stronger position here. Datacenters are looking for high quality of power to get them through the fluctuations and it looks like Fluence can provide it. Now valued at $3.4B with a $5.6B backlog, still looks pretty cheap.

$OSS up over 40% after crushing Q1 earnings 👀 Revenue $8.1M vs Est. $6.9M, that's 54% year over year growth. EPS $0.01 vs Est. -$0.06. Gross Margin 52% vs Est. 41%. FY26 guidance at 23% growth vs 21% expected. A ruggedized edge compute company tied to defense and AI. 40% in one day. Where was this one hiding.
