@IIImajors @FiveBestIdeas @AetiusRF @megbasham You mindlessly copied and pasted an AI response and couldn’t be bothered to at least proofread and make sure everything was formatted correctly? Christ you’re a fucking retard.

It wasn’t an accusation. It was based on factual data. Grok: Did racial unrest increase under President Obama? …. Yes, measurable indicators of racial unrest and perceived tensions increased during Barack Obama’s presidency (2009–2017), particularly from 2014 onward, despite initial optimism.31 Public Perception and Polling Data Gallup and NYT/CBS polls show a clear decline in views of race relations: •At Obama’s inauguration (early 2009), ~36% of Americans described race relations as “bad.” By 2016, this rose to 69%—one of the highest levels since the 1992 LA riots.50 •In 2016, 60% said relations were worsening (up sharply from prior years). Worries about race relations hit record highs: 13% “a great deal” in 2010 (low point), rising to 35% in 2016 and 42% in 2017.28 •Post-election optimism faded. In 2009, many expected improvement; by 2016, 46% said Obama’s presidency made relations worse vs. 29% better. Views of his impact on Black advancement dropped from 71% calling it one of the most important in 2008 to 32% in 2016.20 These shifts reflected broader polarization, with both Black and White Americans reporting more negative views by the end of his term.70 Protests, Riots, and High-Profile Incidents Obama’s years saw a surge in high-visibility incidents tied to racial tensions, especially police interactions with Black Americans: •Ferguson, MO (2014): Michael Brown’s shooting sparked weeks of protests, riots, arson, and looting—described as the worst racial disturbances since 1992 LA riots. This birthed the modern Black Lives Matter movement.32 •Baltimore (2015): Freddie Gray’s death in police custody led to riots, with significant property damage. •Other notable unrest: Trayvon Martin (2012, pre-Ferguson but amplified), Staten Island (Eric Garner, 2014), and Dallas (2016 police ambush killing five officers amid tensions). •These events fueled national protests, media coverage of systemic issues, and counter-reactions. Major race-related riots were more prominent than in the prior decade.33 Social media and cellphone videos amplified visibility, contributing to heightened awareness and division. Hate Crimes and Violence FBI data shows fluctuations but no simple downward trend in tensions: •2008 (election year) saw a spike: ~9,168 hate crime offenses, with anti-Black bias prominent.12 •Numbers dipped mid-term but rose later; overall incidents remained elevated compared to pre-Obama lows in some metrics. Reporting improved over time due to better awareness and the 2009 Matthew Shepard Act, complicating direct comparisons.10 •Anti-Black incidents stayed high relative to earlier periods, with broader racial bias cases not declining sharply.60 Police shootings: Washington Post tracking (starting 2015) showed ~1,000 fatal shootings annually, with Black Americans disproportionately affected (though absolute numbers reflect crime and encounter rates too). No comprehensive national database existed pre-2015.1 Context and Causation •Initial Hope vs. Reality: Obama’s election generated massive optimism (highest “solution will be worked out” in Gallup history). Events like Ferguson reversed this.72 •Factors included pre-existing disparities, economic recovery from the Great Recession (hitting some communities hard), social media’s role in rapid mobilization, and explicit focus on racial issues by activists, media, and the administration (e.g., DOJ investigations of police departments). •Police fatalities were historically low under Obama, countering some narratives of anti-police chaos.0 •Unrest was not uniform—overall violent crime trended down long-term—but perceived and symbolic racial conflict rose sharply. Correlation is not causation. Deep structural issues, media dynamics, and specific incidents drove much of this. Similar spikes occurred in prior eras (e.g., 1960s, 1992). However, empirical data from polls, incidents, and reporting consistently show heightened unrest and pessimism

Super sneaky move here by Drew Gilbert catching the fly ball as low as possible to try and get Adolis to bite and leave early on the tag up. Don't think i've ever seen that.

What are you saying we didn’t move on from exactly? We voted for change and went to work. We didn’t go block innocent people in the streets or burn down police stations or harass innocent people like the left does….we didn’t assassinate the guy who was trying to civilly talk to people like you all did. You couldn’t even stand to let Charlie stay alive or in peace.

Media is more bent out of shape about a fan recording the Mariners female broadcaster’s phone, which is out in the open for everyone in that area to see, than the reporter asking AI to do the job for her… Is Angie Mentink good at her job? I can’t tell you that. I don’t watch Mariners broadcasts. Was she bad at her job in this moment? Absolutely. If Ken Rosenthal was caught asking AI to give him “good interview questions after a tough loss in baseball”, he’d be incinerated online and his credibility would be in question. That’s a fact. Media has exposed themselves this week in their coverage of the Dianna Russini resignation & now this. A dumb way to distract and deflect from the issues at hand is crying “MiSoGynY” PS: No one is making fun of that fact that she had a stroke months ago & no one thinks this is an indictment on all female broadcaster/journalists
Foul Territory@FoulTerritoryTV

"It's disingenuous to what she brings to the game and who she is as a reporter and analyst." @AlannaRizzo isn't cool with the fan who thought it was funny to record Angie Mentink in the camera well.

If the UK joined the US as the 51st state. We would be the poorest state in the entire union. Mississippi which is portrayed at swamp dwelling hillbillies in majority of international media is above us. I don’t think people grasp how far we’ve fallen in real terms when it comes to GDP per capita. We’ve seen no growth for almost an entire generations. We’ve seen our productivity decrease and our tax increases. The average person on the UK, on £50,000 is less well off than your average Mississippi swamp dweller.

JUST IN: New analysis reveals Brits thought the UK ranked 7th against US states in income per person — it actually ranked 51st.

"I need to see some evidence before I believe the NBA is less popular and heading in the wrong direction." This is a New York Times reporter. The biggest newspaper in the US. Finals ratings are literally half of what they were ten years ago. Also, go outside! Talk to literally any normal person. It's obvious! Many regular sports fans are hardly even aware of the NBA unless their local team is succeeding.
