@BhattiLaib9960 Shit like this is why the Mandanis of the world think they can just seize property. If she didn’t move in yet, that’s your problem not hers. I wouldn’t have taken the keys from you if it was like that and if you tried to steal the deposit you’d be talking to my attorney .

Today is my tenant’s move-in day and she immediately called complaining about the garage being messy. She asked if I was coming to clean it I said no. Then she asked if I was sending someone still no. The rest of the house is spotless, it’s just the garage! I told her if it bothers her that much, she can clean it or hire someone to do it. Then this entitled woman had the audacity to say if I don’t clean it, she wants to cancel her lease and get her deposit back. 😒 Umm, no ma’am my deposits are non-refundable. If you can’t afford to pay someone to clean a garage, how are you going to afford monthly rent? Make it make sense! Tenants nowadays want to rent but don’t want to take care of the property. I’m the landlord I collect the rent. You’re responsible for maintaining the home.

@Avabelly__ I mean, you aren’t asking people not to look at the sign, so you’re not totally ridiculous. Maybe move to a cabin in the woods?

I put a sign in my front yard asking people not to look at my house as they walk by. Some people think it's unreasonable, but I see my home as a private space and don't like the idea of strangers constantly observing it, even briefly. The sign is staying. Be honest... is this a reasonable request for privacy, or am I taking it too far?

@WorkElizab That guy is doing you a favor, stop paying all these ridiculous people money to be lazy. Go to Taco Bell and get drive thru like God intended when he gave us the drive thru, cheap migrant labor and the internal combustion engine. Let these delivery apps die like they should.

I ordered Taco Bell on DoorDash, tipped $5, and when I opened the bag there was a note inside that said "5$? You go to hell!!" Like...what? Bro, you dropped off a chalupa and a crunch wrap supreme, not a kidney transplant. Let's do the math. My order was about $10. I tipped half the total, 50%, for someone to drive less than 15 minutes and drop off a bag on my doorstep. That's more than fair. But apparently we've reached the point where $5 is considered offensive. So tell me, what exactly are we tipping for now? These apps already charge a service fee, a delivery fee, tax, and an unexplained "processing fee". We're one step away from paying a "thank you" fee just for existing. If $5 for a $10 dollar meal sends you into a rage, maybe delivery isn't the right job. I didn't realize I was supposed to cover your rent for handing me a taco.

@_InfoGram_ Who cares what he says?? He doesn’t have enough oil to invade Taiwan now and he knows it. Xi needs to at least talk tough or he is out of a job and probably going to prison if the CCP loses faith in him.

@BraddrofliT Well the pension boards have to ratify the budget, police and fire boards are controlled by the unions. likely they won’t. But it was never to actually balance the budget, just to give the appearance. I’m sure he is hard at work about to announce new spending any minute now.

@hr_unhinged Imagine paying someone to work for your company in HR and instead this is what they post all day long. Probably while working remotely no less. Ask yourself “how does this benefit the company?” And go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans if you want to.

Showing up 15 minutes early for an interview is basically trespassing. Our receptionist notified me that a UX designer was waiting in the lobby at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. slot. I walked out and asked why he was trying to steal company time before he was even on the official payroll. He said he just wanted to account for traffic and make a solid first impression. I told him that aggressive punctuality indicates a fundamental inability to accurately estimate project timelines. He asked if he should go wait in his car until the exact minute. I said no, the damage to his cultural fit score was already permanently done. I made him sit facing the lobby wall until exactly 10:00 a.m. so he could think about his schedule. Then I canceled the interview entirely because his anxious energy was too disruptive.

I've always thought "A Few Good Men" was a stupid movie because the story rests on the notion that a battle-hardened Marine Corps colonel can get so rattled by a Lt. j.g. JAG officer that he admits to a felony on the stand.

A few days ago, my boss called to say I must now work full-time from the office, despite being hired remotely. I said I had no car and the office is 2 hours from home. His reply: “Your personal commute is not my problem!” I didn’t argue. The next morning, I arrived at the office at exactly 8:00 a.m., just as ordered. My commute had taken three transfers and more than 2 hours, but I made sure to step through the door right on time—dragging a small rolling suitcase behind me. My boss froze the moment he saw it. He smirked and asked if I had mistaken the office for the airport. What he didn’t know was that inside the suitcase I had secretly put a blanket, a pillow, a kettle, and three days’ worth of snacks. I smiled sweetly and replied, “Since I don’t have a car and the commute eats up 4 hours a day, I thought it would be best if I just lived here during the week.” Then I set about unpacking. A pillow on my desk chair. A blanket draped neatly over the back. Oatmeal packets stacked in the break room. Before long, I was boiling water with my travel kettle and offering tea to my bewildered coworkers. By lunchtime, I was cross-legged under my desk, answering emails like a college student cramming in a dormitory room. That was when my manager finally pulled me aside, whispering that this was “highly unprofessional.” I tilted my head and said, “Well, my commute may not be the company’s responsibility, but my ability to do my job is. This way, I’ll never be late.” Word traveled quickly. By the next day, two colleagues with equally brutal commutes had brought their own blankets and joked about starting a “cubicle hostel.” HR soon appeared, clearly irritated, asking whether this was really necessary. Now I can’t help wondering if I’ve overplayed my hand. What started as my personal protest has drawn others in, and I’m beginning to worry it could backfire. Maybe I should have just kept my head down and accepted the change. But then again, wasn’t it unfair for the company to make such a sudden, drastic decision in the first place?

@UngoyB @HavocTwoOne At the range ? Yes. In the field? Do they have time?? If you have time to put on plates and a helmet you usually wear eyes and ears. But if you can’t, you can’t. This is also why most cops go to the hospital post incident, for ringing in ears.

@rawsalerts This is why we need every car to be autonomous, humans driving will be looked at in the future, similar to how we think of doctors helping women gift birth, after the docs have just handled dead bodies and not washed their hands.

"China", "tariffs", my business. I spent $1,000,000 over the past 14 years developing a factory in China. I married Chinese. I lived in China for seven years, and live there for three months in the summer. Tried to move the factory in 2021 to the US, impossible. Very bad. Materials stateside were being imported from China. I'm trapped in China with no way out. I'm not crying because our business has eroded. I knew the risks going in. Here is what few know about China, because they have never been immersed. 🧵

The US Navy just had a F-18 fighter jet fall overboard from the USS Harry Truman aircraft carrier. The amount of things that have to go wrong at the same time for something like this to happen is mind-boggling. If an E4 loses a set of night vision they'll get absolutely crushed. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the aircraft carrier's commander now that he's lost a $70 million dollar fighter jet... #Navy #USNavy #fail #WTF #F18 #fighterjet #whoops

When I was selling my life time, employers would take me on trips; staying at lousy hotels, eating at the cheapest restaurants, no shopping or spa. Not a moment of it was ever truly enjoyable though, because I knew what was to come after - the part where I had to let the IRS rape my paycheck.
